This summer I flew my brother inlaw's RC helo. Pretty cool. Now sure what brand it was, but it sure was a challenge to fly. We did pretty good until parts started breaking.

I keep 4 on the floor, less carnage when I wreck.

I have a 3.3 Traxxas Jato, my son has a 2.5 Nitro Rustler.

Trucks are an expensive hobby, I don't even want to imagine flight.

The heli in my picture can lift 15+ lbs. It weighs 17lbs. It runs on gasoline/oil mix and has 4hp.

Some guys do camera and video work with them.

There is an RC heli for just about every type of helicopter imaginable including the V-22 Osprey and the Chinooks.

Check out this video

I was looking at the Falcon 40 4 channel. It is supposed to be a good beginner helo.
I was also told to get all alum and carbon fiber parts- they last longer than the plastic ones. lol.

The Falcon 40 is $90.00. It is ready to go, minus the 8 AA batteries for the radio.

Thanks for the link------ I will probably get one of those in a couple weeks!! I need something to take surf-fishing bait and drop it out about 150 yards into the ocean!! Do you think that this will travle that far and is it strong enough???? Probably just a starter Helo to get use to flying, Right?

You bet!
I think I might get one myself.
Others might be able to chime in on what spare parts you should order at the same time. The training kit might be a good idea- it is like a set of outriggers for the landing gear.

I think it will travel far enough, but don't know how much it will carry.
