Do you have any spyware blocking software running? That could also have a popup blocker. Adaware with adwatch has a popup blocker.

Dell may also have their own antispyware stuff with a popup blocker.

if you are seeing it pop up and go away, thats usually a mcafee trait.
Yep, that's what it's doing. What's interesting is that it ONLY does it when I try to lock or delete. If I go to MODIFY, then a full screen Admin login window appears.

Since I am also now the new Webmaster (don't ask ), I have to figure this out.



open up services (services.msc at run command), and disable all mcafee services, in addition to their software "turn offs" and try again
This would be a pain every time I wanted to perform an Admin function. I will try it tonight and see what happens.

And you are the WINNER! I have to disable Adwatch in Adaware, and it works.
