About drinking and driving...

I would like to share an experience with you all about drinking and driving. As you well know, some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities on our way home from the odd social session over the years.
A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks with some friends and had a few too many beers and some rather nice claret. Knowing full well I may have been slightly over the limit, I did something I've never done before - I took a bus home.

I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise, as I have never driven a bus before and am not sure where I got it.

Good man! Coincidentally,I just watched the sentencing of a young woman who killed a family of four after driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. She was 23 when the felony occurred. She'll be 40 when she gets out.

Tragedy all around.

I guess that makes you the DTR designated bus driver.

I guess the phrase "Take the bus" is open to interpretation.

Just one question........ How many people were still on the bus when you got home???

Or did you make all the stops when people would ding the bell?

Good Jokes all around. I appreciate humor when it is due.

I just had a memorial for a Marine that was victim of a DESIGNATED DRIVER that had been drinking.

I have one Marine in jail for the rest of her life, one dead, and two more that will always have scars on their soul.

The bad part was that the DD only had a couple... .14 BAC. Not that much in the grand scheme of things.

Don't be selfish. Think about the other person.

I won't be the one that says I've never drank and drove, but it has been a while. More than one 12oz beer, I'm not driving.

A 70 dollar cab fare is worth more than a career or a fathers son. A mothers daughter. A wife's husband, children's father.
