That's a good idea about the rope, unless someone pulls it too hard. You can't get to both coils inside the unit, and you really shouldn't have to mess with the 4 mounting bolts.

True, but I have seen many cases where guys are checking thier ac's and see that they are not tight and crank them down and destroy the gasket.

ok i think im just gonna wait and let some one who knows what they are doing tackle this. The a/c is work fine for now and i cant afford to mess anything cause this is my home for the next 4 months
