2000 4X4 to 4X2
Hi everyone,
I have just inherited a 2000 4X4 which I don't have a lot of use for, soooooo i was wondering if it is possible to make it into a 4X2 ?

Just because the truck is 4X4 does not mean that you have to run it in 4 wheel drive. You can just select 2X4 high range. And drive it like any other truck on the road. You can even mount street tires on it if you like. That being said yes you can convert it but in my opinion (yes everybody has one) it would be a large waste of time and money. Plus it would take a huge amount of work.
I agree with the others! That is crazy!
Just don't use it if you don't need the 4x4. They run just fine in 2wd.
1. it's there if you do find that you need it, get stuck etc. (free insurance)
2. They look much better, imo.....no matter what they are doing, just sitting up taller and proud
3. The truck is always going to be worth more than a 2wd of the same year
Why spend money to devalue your truck??
