1947 *****'s CJ-2A Jeep

I just bought a 1947 *****'s Jeep CJ-2A from a friend of the family. They have owned it since the Late 50's early 60's. It is mostly original with a few minor modifications (such as a 2000 lb winch on the front, etc). How much would this be worth? It is in pretty good condition considering it is 60 years old this year. Give me your best opinions, and no, I am not trying to sell it....ha, ha.

Thanks,
Rick

WOW! Like I said, I don't want to sell it, but would like to know it's value. This has also been converted from 6v to 12v, has a new top, winch, etc. It is set up for hunting/4-wheeling, etc. I have found them online for anywhere up to $12K, but don't think this one is worth that obviously.

Thanks,
Rick

Great! I really liked your pic. It is the same except for the color. Do you happen to have any other pics of it?

i have to check but i think that was about all that survived the years.. we used to take that old girl thru creeks and hills and mud all at the get there speed of 45mph. wipers were manual because dad removed the vacuum motors said they caused valves to go bad. i bought the top and wheels and tires. i loved that old jeep but we rebuilt everything on it from motor , trans, brakes you name it. learned alot about wrenching on that rig. mine was built by ****** overland.
