I was on Westheimer Sat. night and there was this 03 Cobra and this 02 Vette sitting in this parking lot. The parking lot was RSI. Anyways. The cobra had 800 miles on the ticker and had 500 rwhp. 600 LB.FT. of torque also. He had 500lb.ft from 2000rpm and it never went below that and the torque curve was flat as a plateau till 6000. All he had was full exhaust (long tube headers, x-pipe, and cat back), 17 psi of boost, an air filter, and a single blade throttle body instead of a twin blade. He also had a chip on there that when it was turned on, he had to run race fuel. Those numbers were on race fuel but you get the idea. The 02 Vette had a 4-nozzle setup of nitrous. This system was capable of flowing 300 or so shots of nitrous. This guy was spraying probably a 175. They were talking and the cobra wanted to know if the vette would race him for fun. No money. The guy said sure. So they pulled out of the parking lot and headed down to Beltway 8. Now, let me give you an idea of what pulled out of this parking lot. 2 Cobras, 3 Vettes, 5 done out F-bodies, and a bunch of mustangs. All in all, there was probably 3000-4000 hp rolling down Westheimer. So the vette and the Cobra pull on to the beltway and hit it. Firsr race was off nitrous (Cobra had race fuel in it), Cobra wins by 5 cars. Second race, on nitrous, Cobra wins by 1/2-1 car. These races were from 50mph to at least 160-180. Then a Vette with 500hp (all motor might I add) starts screwing with the Cobra. They go at it, dead even. We made it from Houston to Highway 288 in 10 mins. It was the best Sat. night I've had in a while.<br><br>RSI is a performance shop on Westheimer off of highway 6. They specialize in LS1's, Vipers (owner of the shop has the world's fastest street legal Viper), Vettes, Lightnings, and Cobras. Basically, anything that is modern American muscle. They sponsor this get together every Sat. night so the cops can't come and run you off. If yall are ever down this way, you might want to check it out. It's pretty slick.
