Morning. I see we were all lazy last nite. AGAIN!

Today is Sunday, July 25th.

On this day in 1759 - British forces defeated a French army at Fort Niagara in Canada.

1805 - Aaron Burr visited New Orleans with plans to establish a new country, with New Orleans as the capital city.

1861 - The Crittenden Resolution, which called for the American Civil War to be fought to preserve the Union and not for slavery, was passed by the U.S. Congress.

1866 - Ulysses S. Grant was named General of the Army. He was the first American officer to hold the rank.

1868 - The U.S. Congress passed an act creating the Wyoming Territory.

1943 - Italian Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini was overthrown in a coup.

1946 - The U.S. detonated an atomic bomb at Bikini Atoll in the Pacific. It was the first underwater test of the device.

1946 - Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis staged their first show as a team at Club 500 in Atlantic City, NJ.

1952 - Puerto Rico became a self-governing commonwealth of the U.S.

1994 - Israel and Jordan formally ended the state of war that had existed between them since 1948.

1998 - The USS Harry S. Truman was commissioned and put into service by the U.S. Navy.

1998 - U.S. President Clinton was subpoenaed to appear before a federal grand jury regarding the Monica Lewinsky case. The subpoena was withdrawn when Clinton agreed to give videotaped testimony with his lawyers present.

2000 - A supersonic Concorde crashed outside Paris, France, killing all 109 people aboard and 5 on the ground.

Coffee and ph00 are ready. I'm going to use Madhat's recipe from the 'coffee snobs' thread... just add a new scoop or two to the existing grounds each day. It oughta be really good by Friday!

Morning.

Hey, since you're having all this bad luck with vehicles, does that mean mine will be better? Trying to figure if my luck is rubbing off or just spreading around....

Troutfest was a good time. Excellent carnival food. Downed some Oberon (made in Chaikwa's backyard) and listened to bands.

Morning fella's, had the best night sleep last night for the first time in months.
I actually feel refreshed.

Heading out to a benefit later for a FF in a neighboring city whom lost his 25yo wife. they have a 6 month old daughter.

Looks like it is going to be a nice week weather wise says the weather man. That would be great since I will be on the scooter all week. My pop has my truck while his yota is the shop.

Ya'll be good and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I slept real good last night too.

We raised over $10K for a friend in need of a procedure for his MS on Thursday. My wife took him and another friend to the airport this morning...they are off to Bulgaria.

Weather looks great here too. It will be in the low 90's today and then mid 80's for the wk.

Enjoy the week folks. Phoo00 was chemically altered because I ran out of oozing fluids from my LEGG. I even ran out of scabs.

Morning, Blake, Scotty, T-rad.

I expect a great turn out at the benefit. Our guys always come through huge, plus this city is the first one we call in for mutual aid so they are always working with us. We will make the best of it and as usual take care of a fellow brother.

Off to eat some home made corned beef hash and eggs.

Ya'll have a great day.

Good luck with the benefit Tim. You can leave a little hash out if you want. The eggs tho...

Well I was just trying a new approach at an attempt to make you feel bad....

Guess not.

Dad and I are going ride the ROW. Might be able to get some pics as I dont think everything is lowered in and backfilled on the north side.
