they are usually quite tasty. just grab the glass below the rim and drink.

Mine had a black olive in it and I think that was part of the funny taste.

Norweigens make beer, and their beer is like their food.

It lacks something in the flavor department.

Evenin, all.
Been one of those days. Dead for a few seconds, sprinting the rest. Lots of stuff coming down the pipes. I'm by myself for the rest of the week, recruits have family dying left and right, we lost about 5 people in the company, the list goes on...

On a brighter note... 30 days till we grad!

See ya'll in a few...

I don't let them leave...

Mornin, DTR. Just got back from chow. Well, the recruits got chow, I did not. They do not open the Marine side until 0500, even tho we have recruits in there at 0400. Try to sneak something off the recruit line, too, and see what happens.

"They say that in the Marine Corps, the coffee is mighty fine...
It looks like muddy water, and smells like turpentine..."

The chow hall coffee this morning was compairable to a certain janitors... it was no joke. I had to use 3 different coffee cups just to drink it...

Brew, foo, sludge, and sprinkles are out.

See everyone in a bit...

Well, I have higher ranking people starting to use my name as a dirty word.
I have very important customers coming to visit and get a dog and pony show, only to have others try to get me to leave the day before.

We will see what happens. I dont care either way.

I guess the new sailing fleet must be touchy feelie. When I sailed the ocean's blue, one of our less than clean attentive individuals got a midnite swim. (We were still tied up at the time) Now fouling the chow would really draw some attention....Course this was in the '60s, before Adm Zumwalt, the great reformer.

All the people that work at the chow hall are "lower class", and do not care about anything. You hardly see the same face for more than 2 weeks, and always see them fighting with the management. You should see some of the complaints that come in for these chowhalls. People that come here TAD from other areas almost crap a brick when they see the staffing. That's what you get for offering a nickel an hour to work...
