Jeff, sorry about Astro, he gone on to the happy hunting grounds for sure.

Rick, I gotta go back next week sometime. Not sure exactly where you are at, but just letting ya know.

Scott, youd be impressed with the lab work Ive been doing. Interesting stuff.

Im here aint I...

I wanted to snap pics, but the lab does a ton of government work also and no cameras allowed inside... go figure.

We did the standard gamut of tensile tests, nick break test (to see a cross section of the weld to look for defects) Charpy impact test (measures ductility vs impact load), macro hardness testing (parent material, HAZ, and weld area).

Last batch of tensiles I had today were breaking around 92k. Not too bad for X65 pipe.

Okay, I'll admit that's pretty interesting. Are you doing the welding or are these tests to show you the process? I guess what I'm asking is, "Why are you there?"

Evenin' all,

Busy last few days. Had an appointment with Herr Doktor yesterday. Blood pressure good, all the blood work tests came out good. All the numbers were in the acceptable range. Got the industrial grade flu shot. recomded for the sexy seniors and the troop in the gray haired army.
Asked the Doktor if I was going to die. Very reassuring, he said, "that's the last thing your going to do."

Has some work done on the PT cruiser, the cute car, LOF and had a smell of gasoline. Turns out it was a fuel line leak. That was replaced. Have it done at a shop, I just don't do wrenching any more.

Work tomorrow, wife will drive me, and I'll bum a ride home. Haven't replaced the truck we sold yet.

Fronty, did you watch "You Don't Know Dixie" last night? I liked it.

5er, slow down, you gonna meet yourself coming and going.

Shorts, liked your comment about drinking coffee. I have drank coffee ever since I can remember, with cream and no sugar. It was said in the old days that it would stunt your growth. Don't know about that, I'm 4' 17" now.

Have a good un, and sleep well, the night shift will be in soon.

Our broccoli bolted real early this year. I actually like the yellow flowers but it seems to make it tougher. Spritz the broccoli with some olive oil (or Italian dressing), sprinkle with some salt and grill it. It is good.

Every year I send a report to the Alaska bat watch on how many bats we have roosting in our shed during the summer. It is still a mystery on where they go during the winter.

Sigh..... I am at that age where if I don't look at the girls they assume I am too old to care and if I do look at the girls they think I am a letcher/pervert. Some mirrored sunglasses should take care of it.

Hey yall. I'm tired this evening. Not feeling too good. Hopefully it goes away by morning.

Glad yall liked the grandma's coffee comment. Oh, if you want another good one, the way she kept us kids from being cry babies she'd say "esStop crying, jyour going to make de dogs bark" I sure do miss my grandma.

Davey, good to hear the prognosis. So guess you've got no excuses to slack of now. Guess the coffee didn't hurt you one bit lol You gonna soop up that cute hot rod?

Blake you sound busy. That will keep you warm in the cocococold winter up there.

wyo, you don't wanna ride fences. Gets irritating without a saddle.

fiverbob, congrats on progress. Going to bed tired after those kind of work days is good.

Tim, good to see you.

JWBM, how'd the politicking go?

cincy, has your hair grown back yet?

Thanks! Looking forward to it.

Cincy, hire me to make that box outta steel and you won't have to worry about it. You might not be able to move it or put it on a truck, but it won't fall apart!
