The reminds me. I remember my little sister and I asking my grandma if we could have some coffee (we were way to young). She would say, in her grandma accent, "Jyour going to git bulack, just like jyour granpa". My grandpa was a dark skinned hispanic, grandma was very light So, my sister and I like to say that phrase whenever someone says they want coffee.

Afternoons

Mom, I started canning the tomatoes i'm growing in the garden. Gonna fill the pantry for winter time with some homemade tomatoes sauce and stewed tomatoes. My cayanne peppers are starting to turn red, i'll be making hot sauce here soon too.


Afternoon DTR, another day in the Armpit of the United States (NW Indiana and the Peoples Republic of Chicago)

 

Evnin, gang - - uhhhh, it is evnin isn't it??? Can't tell. Been out at the ranch pounding nails and putting on clips and straps since Sunday afternoon. Have the fiver out there and just staying. You can work later and start earlier and get out of the horrible heat a few minutes once in a while to change Tshirts. Got lots done - - dragged the fiver in Tuesday night about 11:30. got the house ready for insulation inspection - - it passed. As of tonight, all rough in inspections are done and the sheet rock is hung. Hallelujah. Makes ya feel better to see something other than studs and rafters. I am really feeling it - - guess I am not 29 any longer, but I think it is mostly the heat. Knocks it out of you.

Heidi - - we know you - - it will be truthful and let it sit where it lands. About time we quit hiding our heads in the sand. All this baloney going on in the market would not be happening if we had leadership in DC. Time for MAJOR change, not the Bama Baby change - - he just needs to change his diapers - - they are full of it.

Hey, we know better than that. No place to hide a weapon in the girls swimsuits. In fact, they are too small to have a label. Behave yourself. ............

OK, worked on the truck and fiver all day today getting it ready to take off out of here. Sorry I have been absent - - just can't get time to turn this sucker on - - and too tired. Try to holler back tomorrow. Hide the ph00 pot from that Canuck and maybe I can grab a cup.
