****BREAKROOM - 8/14 to 8/20****
Awright, here's your history;
On this day in 1900 - International forces entered Beijing, China, in an effort to suppress the anti-foreign uprising known as the Boxer Rebellion.
1935 - The Social Security Act became law.
1945- Japan surrendered to the United States, ending World War II.
1951 - Newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst died in Beverly Hills, California.
1995 - Shannon Faulkner became the first female cadet at the Citadel, the state military college of South Carolina.
1997 - Timothy McVeigh was sentenced to death for the Oklahoma City bombing.
2003 - The largest blackout in North American history hit the northeast.
And that's all ya get because my usual source wasn't available this morning and I really don't feel like searching for another source.

Orange Scented Phoo goo for Awl uv Ewe
Hi Scott.
I cleaned out the Phoo00 Pot with some [censored] laden industrial cleaner.
There was some residue but it left a nice orange scent.
Who left the shoes in the breakroom? They are in the Ph0o0o Pot. Please wait til the spin cycle is complete before removing them.
Strangest Pho0o0o0o Pot I have ever worked with. Has a toilet seat on it and a spin cycle. Kinda cool.
Stan is on his Perch, Fiver is 'painting' and Lary the LEGG is resting in the corner beside the dragon.
Enjoy the day. I am sippin a nice cup of coffee and then putting in most of a full days work. Then I/we are taking my sister's kids out to a movie.

At least Chaikwa is up and about this morning. Guess everyone else was up swilling beer all night and will lay around till about noon.
Filled up the "new" truck yesterday. 480.3 miles of 60/40 highway/town and 24.4 gallons of fuel for an average of just under 19.7 mpg. I can't complain at all. Much better than the '01.
The truck seems to have a lot more power than the old one. I don't know if it's the common rail injection or the 3.73 (?) gears with the manual tranny, or a combination of both.
Changing oil and filters this morning. Services have been kept up on the truck but it's unknown what oil has been used and the filters are not Fleetguard. Will go back with what I know works. Fleetguard and Rotella.
Anything surprising that I need to know on these newer engines and driveline?
Lots of badly needed rain the last couple of days. Temps might get up to 90. Central Texas was so dry that the farmers were bailing up the corn that didn't get over 3 ft high. Maybe they will get some of it too.
It's good to get back into the forum. We've been so busy since last September, I was only able to deer hunt 2 days. Now that things are slowing down a bit, I can focus on my other vices; hunting, competitive shooting, and riding the scooter.
Better get back outside before the sun gets too bright.

Mornin' all,
Up, had good
. Read history, missing the thought for the day.
Try this thought, why do we drive on parkways and park in driveways? I know it old, first heard it as a youngster, but it is too early to be thinking hard.
SR enjoy your new truck, and have a fun ride.
Ahhhh, Scotty feeling good enuf to mess with the ph00. When that arm gets welded back together he will really mess up the ph00, wh00. And like wannabe says, go check the Dragons belly, that can be funny.
Gonna be hot again today, 100°F or more. Shorts, need more rain down here. Got any up there to send down?
Not sure what the day will bring, got one of the grandkiddlets here.
Polaraco have a nice visit to the battleship. I always like doing things like that. Nice pix you posted yesterday.
Off to see what shakin' and what going on here.
Have a good un, and be safe out there.

Morning!
shortround, enjoy the new ride. Nothing like the first fillup to officially make it yours.
JWBM, good luck to the student. I was telling my girl friend, she's also a rider, that I'd never ever ever ever ever ever not pay to include the M on my license at renewal time. Don't want to go through the pain of retaking the riders class and test.
Davey, I think we're all out. We're scheduled for 102* today
Sure is bright out there already. I'll do what I can but its not looking good.
Yesterday I wore my new soccer shoes around the house, then fired up the grill for steaks. Our first game is the 29th of this month. I really need to go run around in them and actually play soccer. But at the least they will be broke in for grilling
Don't know what's on the agenda today. DH is at drill this weekend so I'm killing time around here. Maybe I'll build a workbench or something.

Mornin.
Sorry I never got back on last weeks... don't think I'll be on too much this week either.
Bruce, congrats on the truck again. The 07's were pretty good, not much you have you have to look out for. Let it cool down before you shut it off, don't beat on it until it's at temp, keep the service up, keep a spare fuel filter with you, change out the serpentine belt and keep the old one with you...
Just normal stuff. Might want to invest in some gauges.
Grad Tuesday. Back in Yuma for now, going back this afternoon to SoCal. Tired... feel like I've been beaten or something. Gotta get used to living in a house again after a month and a half in a small room with another guy. No bueno.
Ok, time to get on it. Finish playing on the forum, then it's time to pack and go.

Lunch munch done. Blogdog sammich and 'tater salad. Not very creative. Got a couple of split cluckers for the back yard beef and bird burner. Be sipping an iced mocha as I tend to them. Put a couple of extra mocha's in the fridge. Dragon would inhale them if he gets the chance.
Hat hang in there, almost done. Grad on Tuesday. Big doings?
Out a here. Be safe and don't break nothing.
