Kingston Peak
Kingston Peak
Just rode Kingston Peak trail with a friend in his Rubicon. All along I was measuring the trail up against my ability (and desire) to drive it in my CTD. I am sure it can be done but I am not sure I want to. The trail is very rocky, and my tires are very soft.
On the south side of the trail, we met a Chevy 2500 with two rangers in it. The older ranger was quite bossy, condescending and looked down on us, barking "where did you get on the trail?", "well, enjoy yer day". He kind of spoiled it for us. He sure looked like he was just looking for any excuse to fine us. Boils my blood. He is getting paid out of my taxes! He is supposed to be Serving the Public. Instead, his gun and power make him arrogant and unpleasant.
I will be looking for more remote trails...
