Yeah, I looked into the pass. seat last night, but due to the snow/rain mixture and wind/temp. nothing got accomplished. stoopid winter

The tires and rims were not gotten this morning, sleeping was too nice Not really for the wobble, I think they are a little over stock size (hopefully anyway...) Just a deal I got through a friend, figured a spare set is always good Maybe sneak some Swamper LTB's on ther for winter travelin'

Hey keep your eyes peeled for a set of rims from an '05-06, the wheels like mine except they are polished. I have been trying to find a set close but nothing is around.

Well, lookslike I am driving around tomorrow with no passenger seat in looks coolerwithout one anyway... pulled it out to tinker with amp install, getting a little creative with this one RCA's are run, mounting plate is created and paint is drying. Should be able to finish install tomorrow afternoon with ease, but I am supposed to help a friend install some LED's in his V-dub, we gunna make his ride pimptastic

I am hoping that these wheels are polished, but don't expect that to be the case unfortunately. Talked with a shop today about installing some parts for me that I am not interested in dealing with, and require an alignment afterwards anyway... I will defeat DW one day, and it will not be by changing out my tires

BTW, did y'all notice " NJDTR #37"
~We should get some friggin stickers or something

Steve? Steve who? Did the conductor take the 300M offroadingm and whe does he get real wheels back?!

lets see here, My sunday sums up like this: Sub does not work, amps are not in, seat is still out.

What did I accomplish today you ask? I installed 13 red LED's under the dash of a 2007 VW GTI, along with a switch, and most importantly... I stabbed my left middle finger just behind the knuckle with a test light probe. You know, the real sharp pointed thing that you use to check for 12V when doing wiring Best part is about 10 seconds before I did it, I turned to my bud as I grabbed it and said, "This is where I stab myself in the hand." I was ****** when that one came true did do a pretty good little dance afterward though, I must admit
My finger hurts like hell, definitely stabbed clear into the bone with a good bit of force, not liking bending at all, gonna try to sleep that one off

Almost forgot, the v-dub was totally pimptastic, so yes, today was a success.

Good to hear your living your pimp dream and hooking up some lights in your buddies' VW. You can help me run some LED's on my truck next spring.

I think the conductor did get his truck back, but it will have to go back again for the injectors (national backorder)

Has anyone heard from Steve? I'm sure he is busy as anything but it would be nice to get an update....

Yikes, gettin the runaround eh, thats a steeler for ya... No problem with the sub, just didn't have time Sunday before heading over to do the LED's and when I got home from big brothers,my finger was hurting and I was not in the mood to mess with it in the cold. BTW, still definitely sore may have done some bruising under there... Eh well, gonne head out and tinker with that amp some, see if it is cold enough to get something accomplished

I would not call it a runaround yet, heck I am drivin around on their dime........ but I might not be so easy on the idea of not getting it back tomorrow, gotta go somewhere wed nite, and do not need the added hassle of picking it up and goin for a 50 mile drive rite off the bat, would like to have it a day to make sure all is normal. Pat, as long as you don't get cold enough to start drinkin warm beer, you're ok!

No warm beer here, no matter how cold it is, the beer's gotta be cold too!

This is the basics of the install, just a piece of sheet metal bent roughly 2" from the end and painted up with my beloved Duplicolor spray on bedliner, then the amp screwed fast to it. This setup allows enough clearance for my other amp. The one you see here will run the sub(s) and the one to go under it will run all the doors/crossovers.

And one of the new sub and box...

Sadly, no noise yet... Started rainin' here pretty good a while ago, can't work with open doors like that for too long... Gotta get power cable run from battery in, then snag a quick ground and switch power.
That little amp isn't much to speak of, but it has proven itself over the last 5 or so years with a pair of 10" JL's in a sealed box. Thumped the daylights out of my old Blazer, Ranger before that, and Jimmy before that can't wait to get it firing again most of the wiring is in the basement waiting for a little nicer evening and a quick final toss together, only draw back is I would like to run all RCA's and associated wires now for both amps to make install easier down the road

Haven't I read about a spot in the pass. side for running cables from engine compartment into the cab? What are my options for that, gotta get that nailed here quick...
