Okay guys, got the okay for the Verona location for a de-install party. I have to wait until I get the truck back in order to do anything, hopefully that is sooner than later. We have access to electric and water at the location. Address is 207 Pompton Avenue, Verona 07044. Office is located right on Pompton (route 23) and is across the street from a Sunoco and a Citgo gas station. We need to have tarps, drop cloths, cardboard, or whatever under the truck so that nothing hits the pavement. Super close to Mike's house just in case we don't have the correct tools. I will post up exactly what will be taken off the truck, and we can all figure out what we will need.

Keith, I would love to keep the truck, and I am not giving up, just getting out now before it gets really expensive. I have dumped this year alone about $4000 plus in repairs, not including whats wrong with it now. I feel let down by the truck considering I really take care of it and stuff breaks on it. The problems with this truck seem to be endless, and I feel that I should get out before it gets worse.

Now, on to the best part and to stop some of you from salivating: the problems with the truck. Yes, I threw the plural on problems because there is not one, but two. NUMBER 1: Angelo, you hit the nail on the head with the CP3 possibly being bad. Shop says that the first thing they check is the solenoid inside it, which is also recommended by Dodge. If the solenoid is bad, than its only $150. If not, pump is $2200. NUMBER 2: Crappy in-tank fuel pump completely shot. Alternative, and more cost effective for me, is installing the FASS pump with low pressure light. Seems as though I had no fuel pressure in the truck when the shop looked at it today, and apparently I was driving up the Parkway yesterday with no fuel pump, only the CP3 fueling the motor until it gave up at 143.3 northbound. Best case scenario is that I will see the truck Thursday, worse case is it maybe sometime next week.

Sorry for the long post, but I need to be thorough. Thanks again for the support guys. Cheers

Tom,
If the de install location doesn't work out and you guys don't mind going south, you could use my place. I have enough tools to do the job. 2,3 and sometimes 4 of things so..

I might be interested in any lights for plowing, just bought a tool box otherwise that woulda been nice. I will go inline for the back rack also....

So anyway, what will you be replacing it with? What are ya doping with the plow?

Bryan, thanks for the hookup with a location. If the office up here doesn't work out, I will let you know.

Just letting you guys know, the following items are coming with me: toolbox, plow, lights off the back rack (beacon and two worklights), switch panel from inside, gauges, all plow wiring (plow bracket is staying), thats all I can think of now. Back to your regular scheduled program...

Tom, this sucks I wish you had better luck with the truck. Let me know what you are doing for a new car/truck before you buy.

I am thinking about next Saturday, September 8th, as the day for the tear down. Please post up if you can attend, if there is an overwhelming response of no's than maybe we can do it that Sunday.

Brian, it does suck, but I need to have a reliable vehicle, especially since I use the truck for plowing, lawn cutting, etc.. Tough to tell a customer that I can't come because my truck is down.

Keith I did get your PM. Maybe we could work something out if you want my stockers with the 35's. Would be an easy swap to do with a floor jack. Thank you for the offer, but I don't think we will need a lift to de-install my parts.

Let me see about Sunday. It would have to be early in the morning because I have stuff going on in the afternoon. Would 9am work for you guys?

The items that will be removed are: plow wiring, gauges, intake, Back Rack, lights and switch panel.

I wonder if my tranny and diff fluid can be recycled? I would like to take my tranny pan and rear diff cover off, but don't want to put new fluid in. I just changed the fluid a few months ago. Should be okay, right?

If you are getting rid of the truck anyway, drain into clean pan and refill. Not to sound like a total jerk, but who cares at this point in the ballgame? Time doesn't reall matter to me, Sunday works period haha.

I think I am going to leave the manifold in just because it may be a bear to get out. Also don't want to take it out and snap a bolt inside the motor or something. If you want all that stuff Keith, I can make you a great deal on everything. Understand that if you want my exhaust, I need your stock downpipe, as mine found its way under the big dually.

Keith, here is what my rims look like...hopefully you can see them in this tiny pic!
