George, got any open seats for the ride down to The deal on the 3rd. I would love to go and don't see the sense in driving all separate vehicles that far if we don't have to. Better run this one by the lady and the other locals, see who all else is interested...

I was just reading about the pinks event on the raceway park site, sounds like they are expecting near record crowds, and they are talking about having reserved seating in sections near the start line........ if any of us go, we gotta go early as heck to get anywheres near the track.......... gonna be packed in like sardines. gotta do more readin and see when the gates open to the general public. as for the event on the third, I expect more of the same as last year, lots of lines to wait in early, then dam near impossible to find each other. although I suspect that you will be able to hear where I am

If we are going down on the 3rd, we should meet somewhere outside the track and than roll in together. This way we can park together so we aren't searching around. Just checked the website and it says gates open Sundays at 8:00am. Not sure if that applies to this show, but I don't see why not.

Would anyone be around next Saturday (8/2) for a wrench day? I can't do this weekend but will be around next weekend.

Guy at the track Sunday (Gene, the one in the cowboy hat who stood by us) mentioned that they were splitting the Diesel Nationals and having one day for pickups only and the other day for the big rigs. Makes sense considering how many rigs come out and play as well as how big the diesel performance market is right now. Anyways, I will be there possibly with two friends of mine, one in a Duramax and the other in a Ford. Will probably leave around 7am or so.

Are we going to cook again?

The Us Diesel Truckin Nat's are September 13, a Saturday according to E town's calendar of events. The event Aug. 3rd I believe is something new.It looks like a show, swap meet and racing, but I'm not 100%. Does anyone know if the event in Sept. is now just big rigs, and this is the pickup half of the event? I so I'm gonna miss it.

Well, I regret to say that my meets are getting diminished by this whole hitchin thing... We have to work on the arrangements and have some other stuff to work on the weekend of the 3rd. Might also be needing a break in ride on the Wolverine that weekend
Nationals is out of the question as well, bosses daughters wedding, and I ain't missing that one
