There ya go we will do some wrenching at Island between racing action
I actually just finally picked up some clear silicone for the cab lights I figure I have had them for a solid 6 months now, it is about time to do something with them

Somebody got a killer of a deal, I almost think my eyes are playing tricks on me. I could swear that I just saw a Smarty sell for $350

Does anyone know if you can use those quick setup tents, say a 10'x10' model. It is either gonna be hot or rain. Let me know and I'll bring it if we can use it.

dang that was a sweet deal if it was 350....... as for the tent, not sure, I know the NHRDA dude sets one up, can't hurt to try our own. Tom with any luck, it has a thermal protection circuit that would have reset itself after it cooled down and would be working this morning. Anyone catch the latest outburst / trouble for Rampage Jackson ????

I don't see why we couldn't do a tent for the group, some of the racers had setups like that didn't they?!

I had to look again once I woke up more, S06 sold for 350...

I saw that he is beng "evaluated at an undisclosed hospital" regarding his well being, but they didn't detail what he actually said or did...

Horn/compressor/exhaust brake working again today, so my compressor does have that thermostat that shuts it off in the event of high heat. Good thing considering it is 90 plus today and was yesterday. Still leaks though I just put two 3/8 clamps on that line so hopefully it holds up for now.

I don't see why you couldn't bring a tent tomorrow and we could set it up either in front or behind the trucks. Bring it no matter what PowerRam. That would be nice considering 90* plus again tomorrow. Wear a lot of deoderant boys and girls. Headed out in a little bit to get burgers/hot dogs/buns. I am only going to get a pack of 8 or so, will that be enough?

IDK Tom, might not hurt to have a few more there. I have 12 packs of Mountain Dew, Coke and Sprite plus waters. Any other requests?
Gonna toss everything in the fridge to get them cold tonight, then load up a cooler tomorrow morning.

tentative head count?

Mike, Tom, George, Angelo, myself, Keara, John, Brian
maybe a couple more?

Tom, where is your compressor mounted?

Back from the store with 21 something Hamburgers, an 8 pack of Hotdogs, and plenty of buns for each. Also bringing cheese with me in case anyone wants cheeseburgers/cheese dogs. Figured if I brought too much, I can have burgers every night for the next week or so!

Pat, compressor is mounted under the hood right next to the valve cover. No more air leaks now after I torqued two 3/8 clamps on there.

Brian, good call about the tent man. Will be nice to have some shade there so we don't bake all day. See you guys there tomorrow around 9 or so!!

I am bringing a few plates and napkins with me also. If anyone has some cups and such, bring them up with you. Should be a good time tomorrow, can't wait.

Had a great day up at Island despite the extreme heat. Congrats to George and Mike for being 2 out of the 4 trucks in the Pro 2 class and John for taking the plunge and racing for the first time. Still can't believe the controversy at the end of the day, but whats a drag race event without some drama? Thanks again to Mike, err your honor, for grilling up the food and all who brought stuff. We should do that again at Englishtown to save money again. Was good to meet Brian and his wife, hopefully you guys can make some more events.

By the way, put it on your calendars now: US Diesel Truckin' Nationals are on Saturday, September 13th.
