Gatherings 2

New thread for our usual banter.

Pat, I like the idea of a Diesel Nut table. That way it would be easy to explain those guys who are really loud and have loud trucks. Its too bad no one on here has a MegaCab you could borrow for the day.

Anyone up for a Riverdale Car Show meet this week? I am going to head over there Thursday night and check it out.

Would you believe that if you break the stupid clip that latches the rear window shut, you may possibly have to replace the sliding part window? Broke mine over the weekend and that is what I am hearing from a guy on this forum.

That sounds crazy about the window clip Tom, on my old Chevy, you could just get a generic replacement latch from most car parts stores. I would say stop in to one and see what they say or have.

Don't know if I Can make a meet Thursday, what time would you be heading over?

riverdale sounds doable........ one can only hope the yellow hemi p up is there again, always fun to taunt them. that whole window clip deal sux, not like ya can just nail it shut tho... I bet you could do a poor man's fix, lay a bit of something in the track that you can only remove from inside. thus making it "locked" from the outside.

Man, these wedding plans are goin to get ugly. I am holding to the Diesel Nut table, but we have to try to figure out where the cutoff for the other friends/family is eh well, whatever, if it causes heartache, screw them...

George, you are killing me with this mods list lately, what are you not doing anymore?! and +1 on the money tree seed

Not going to make this week, have fun down there. Finishing up the dabadge this week, truck was a RAM 250 for a few days, now down to a RAM only. Tomorrow will probably be the finisher, then I need to do the cab lights and tail light bar... If only we had a wrench day I could focus and do all this stuff in one day

btw, Tom what is with the HD avatar?

Always liked HD's and all my buddies ride them. Maybe one day I will have one of my own. I was getting sick of looking at the business end of my exhaust anyway....

We can have a wrench day after Island I guess. I will have my speakers to install, Mike has that Thuren bar, and I'm sure we can dig up some other stuff to do as well.

well, just recieved some bad news. water/meth is going in on monday. and the twins, and studs will be installed before the 20th, but im going to be limited on how much boost i can run, cause the studs have to be sorta broken in, they have to loosen them, and re-torque them 4 or 5 times before you can go to peak boost. i did read the directions for the studs, and it does say 5 times total.i cant believe that i might be on the sidelines watching

All you have to do is take out the bolts one at a time. Install stud
torque, loosen, torque, loosen, torque, loosen and a final torque. Repeat until all changed out. All you are doing is burnishing the threads. Use plenty of lube on all re-torques. It makes a mess.

After a couple of weeks you can do another check if you want. No reason you can't make it out to run. Stock bolts are good to 50 psi properly torqued and I doubt you will run over 60-65 with your current fueling.

Angelo, not sure where you stand with Level 10, but I just talked to a guy on here from Sussex who "i just finally settled a law suit for them doing supposed 7k dollars worth of work to my 67 olds cutless got the car back felt the same at it was before" Tom, I think he is the one you talked to, nice guy met up with him once. Hopefully he chimes in.

Truck is now debadged, was going to do the light bar, but rain is threatening and nephew is here, so off to play with him.
