Gatherings 2
hey guys, i'm ready for some mods on my truck, where do you guys buy your stuff from? any shops in the gloucester county area? any good places online?
oh and for now all i plan on is an exhaust, intake, maybe a xzt or ez, and a set of around 60 hp injectors. if i get a 3 pod guage pillar, will i be ok with egt, boost, and fuel pressure? most of the kits have a tranny temp guage and i dont do much towing, so i was thinking i could lose the tranny temp for a fuel pressure. what do you guys think?

I may be going out to Island on the 20th, don't know much about it, I gather you guys aren't running that day? I introed myself here a while ago, and the ever elusive inlinekeith has stopped up my place. I look forward to meeting all of you, I will be the guy with a truck whose aspirations are to achieve the level of HP you all start off at. Anyway, I have been working on my junks and hope soon to find the time and permission to meet at Hooters. I will be at Island, don't know if one of the trucks will. Also was wondering what I would need as far as safety equipment( Island, Etown) when I do get to run. Definitely shootin to run Englishtown Diesel Nats.
Thanks, see ya soon, Brian
ps. I log on every day and "lurk".

the shop here at DTR is having its summer clearance, why not give that a shot see what they have you may want. I considdered using extreme diesel also, seeing as they are local, but them not offering instalation means I shop price. as for safety at island, a snell 2005 approved helmet is a must, and a firesuit if you have upgraded turbo , not sure what else may put you in that need.
........ Saw George on my way home, he has been in the shop at Caldwell since ten am gettin his water meth kit installed...... looked like he was havin a long day, too bad he doesn't realize ringside pub is just around the corner !

Since this is the gatherings thread, I thought I'd say hi. Ever since I bought my truck in December, I haven't met up w/ the locals as I have in the past with my old E30 BMW and Subaru WRX (both have cult followings).
Unfortunately, I haven't found the same with these trucks as most folks around me use them for strickly work or drive Ram 1500 Hemis.
So when/where is the next meet so I can have a good diesel discussion w/o the sort of strange looks
I get from my car enthusiast buddies?

not sure if we are going to get together before the NHRDA race up at island dragway in Hacketstown on the 20th, but if we do you will be able to read about it here. btw, let those car boys know what boost is all about, let them take a ride with you and bury that boost gauge !

Welcome new guys. I hope you hang around and meet up with us to meet the bunch.
PowerRam, a few of us will probably run, especially those with their new toys. I will not be as I don't have the funds to fix something that breaks. Hopefully we will have a meet after Island that everyone can attend.
About the 20th: I know Mike is bringing a grill and I am bringing up some stuff for me to cook/eat that day. Anyone else bringing stuff? We could do a community thing like: Mike brings the grill, I bring burgers/hot dogs, someone else brings buns, so on and so forth. Let me know if anyone else would be interested. It is defininitly cheaper than buying food/drinks there. It would be sweet if we could get a portable coffee maker there too......
