Where is Everyone?

John,
We're on for this evening at 6. Seeing as I don't have all the fancy stuff to adjust like the newer trucks, I'm pretty-much limited to IP timing. With that, I'm leaning toward an hour of dyno-time to dial it in.
Look forward to seeing you there.

A Good Day!
That doesn't matter really as my goal was to dial-in some IP timing advance gizmos. Doing so appears to have netted an approx 50hp/74ft/lb gain in the higher engine rpms.
-> A good day!
Interestingly, my truck has historically seen a boost in torque only with running W/M. 0 (read: ZERO) horsepower gain. A final dyno run with the W/M saw a 40hp/37ft/lb gain on top of the former. KEWL!
Wayne is one of the nicest fellas you'll ever meet. Easy to talk to. When I went in, I was thinking an hour's worth of dyno time. After about six or seven pulls, I was thinking we need to wrap this up as this is a working-man's shop with folks waiting. Wayne said "Dude, this is my shop. I am the boss. Let's keep running it".
As always, John, it was a pleasure seeing you again. Icing on the cake to see The Red Rocket spinning the rollers.
I look forward to our next Diesel blow-out at Wayne's.
Then I went back to the beach.

I failed to notice the dyno runs were starting at about 2000 engine rpms. As this VE IP's torque peaks at about 1850 engine rpms, the resulting numbers were substantially lower than what I'm used to seeing.

Backing up the apparent positive results of the dyno tuning had positive results at the local 8th mile track (http://www.dunnbensondragstripinc.com/ 250ish feet elevation).
Prior to the dyno work, my all-time best at D/B was 8.16. The more truthful average ET there was 8.2 ~ 8.3. (@ 6400lbs).
With 90*F ~ 80*F weather this evening, the heap ran an 8.10, 8.15, 8.13, 8.22 (tried 4th gear), and then an 8.15.
I think the dyno-work has proven successful.

Wow, its nice to see results from tuning. Maybe some day I'll be back into some running. I still got a full nitrous kit and extra CP3 i never got to install plus a set of Flux2's in a box. Need that built auto first though. Big money.

Hey Guys,
Been while since I have been online. Jon nice seeing you at TS. The wife and I had a great time. There were some awesome trucks there!
Quick update, as ya'll may know I broke my leg working. Sucks, but I am pulling with the Straight Diesel guys for points and running in the 2.8 class. Truck is holding up and running great! Our next pull is Saturday, June 4 at the Farmington Dragway, Mocksville, North Carolina.
Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day!

Good luck at the pulls! I'm going to try to win at the dyno on saturday, and show these gassers how we roll.
