I'll be working with Mike and John_P to organize the racing classes at the drag strip. I'm going to bring a large piece of posterboard to lay out the brackets on and we can follow them down as the night goes along (think NCAA tournament style).

I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes, but I called and spoke with Wayne asking about the optical torque sensor with regard to the 1st
gen trucks. He talks like perhaps in the 1st Diesel-Dyno event, they may have had issues (some years ago), but since then none outside of the typical odd truck (DOH!). He says his cords and sensors are in good working order.

Also, when it comes to running the dyno . ..

- There will be perimeter ropes to keep people out of the testing area.
- Only the truck owner, those strapping it down, and the dyno operator will be allowed inside said roped-off area.
- Once the truck is secured to the dyno, everyone less the operator and owner must exit the roped-off area.
- The dyno operator is the one who runs the truck/engine/dyno with the owner in the passenger seat.

Hope this helps.

Good point Jess! I agree with you 100%.

For those of you that don't know Wayne or have not run at his shop, FWIW, Wayne has been hosting this event for us for the past five (5) years and dynoed hundreds of trucks for us.
