It's with a heavy heart I announce..

The great white land whale, Moby, is getting a new caretaker on Monday.

It was just too much to be driving every day, and my needs for BIG trailer towing have been changed.. I now tow no more than 6000lbs, and only maybe twice a month.

JWALEX (who appears to have no posts on this site) from Asheboro will now be piloting the beast..

Yes, the train horns are going with the truck, so watch out if you see it in a parking lot.. they're on remote control, too

Not sure how often I'll be getting to see you guys (I did pass McMopar in Fuquay today, but by the time I flipped a u-turn, he was gone..) anymore, but I can say this is one of the best groups of enthusiasts I've ever met.

Tim B- thanks so much for continually going above and beyond the call of duty in fitting me into your schedule, and for doing fantastic work... Best of luck to your and your family in the future!

I was offered a **very** good deal on a 2001 Chevy 2500HD LT 2wd with the 8.1/Allison combo, so I had to take that for towing. For D/D duties, I'll be succumbing to my inner child in a black, SCCA prepped '98 Trans Am 6-speed, currently putting down a little more than 350rwhp.. plenty for me. Look for the license plate W-W-HOFF-D (Think about the car, being a black T/A, it outta make sense)

Thats cool someone from NC got the truck. I live about 30 minutes from Asheboro and I got through there all the time going to the stock sale in Siler City with a loads of cattle. I will keep an eye out for him and the truck

Sounds like its time to start looking for a 2500 I know where there is a 01 Quad LWB 4wd 5 speed with 88k on it for sale. Twin turbo and SB clutch.

That's too bad, Rich. Well, you're still welcome to come to any of the event we have, we make friends with the person not the truck. Good luck.

Thanks Mike!

I'm interested to see what the new tow pig puts down, just for giggles... I've heard the Allison saps a good bit of power..

Hopefully I'll be able to attend the next dyno day / get together..

Rich, hope to see you at the local events. I hate to see you sell it, we had a lot of time in that beast. Hope you stop in from time to time to check on us here. Tim
