Performed a successful open heart surgery on Heber Ram
Well, tonite I performed a successful open heart surgery by cutting a 4.5 " hole in my Rams cowl. This was in preparation, for the future by-pass valve "aka (scotty 2) to be inserted to cure Heber's hot flashes :

. Everything when fine, until I stopped drilling, pulled back the hole cutter, set it on the table and noticed NO 4.5" piece of metal anywhere? ***? ??? I looked under the truck, in the engine compartment, even in the cowl itself. How can a 4.5" piece of metal disappear, without a sound or trace, this was not good. I've lost a dozen nuts and bolts, doing turbo and manifold change outs, found most of them in the control arm " pit from hell", but a 4.5" frizz-bee? Well to make the story short, I found the thing still in the cowl clear over in the drivers side. Apparently, just before I pulled out the hole saw the little bugger rolled two feet away.

So if you do perform this surgery, make sure you get ALL the tumor out before closing the hood.
