TNDTR 1st Annual Diesel Dyno Smoke em' if you got em bash!!!

Alright....well, took me long enough to pick a single day out of 365!!! But here it is!!

When------ Saturday, March 17th, 2007

Where----- Smryna, Tennessee

Time----- when he opens, so I'll get more specific as the time nears

Dyno----- can run dual trucks with outer wheel in place, no messin' around with pulling off wheels!!

We will hopefully have a cook out, I'll supply the grill and charcoal. When we get closer we'll get everything going for that.....and oh yeah, I'll make the hamburgers!!! That's for all you guys at MSDTR who are invited to join in the festivities as well!!

I'm thinking he said he could run 8-10 trucks depending on if there was gonna be any tuning involved...best thing I think is to have it ready to run, do your thing and let the next guy on, sound cool??

I have to get back in touch with the guy and get his address so I can check out the location for our cook out. I believe he said $75 per truck as many as we can run, so it actually don't matter how many want to run. If we have three it's $75, if we have 10 it's $75.

Well do something for the top three trucks....still up in the air what that would be?? This of course does not include STREETSMOKER!!! Just kidding Street!!! So there you have it......sorry it took so long, busy as a one legged cat covering up a turd in a concrete sandbox around here!!!

So any suggestions, comments make yourself heard here!! We got plenty of time to plan and get a good one!!

If I miss the one down here (Florida panhandle) in Feb, I'll come up there. Might come up there anyway - especially if first-gen trucks will be there.

Regards, DBF

The place it will be at is southeast of Nashville. If you are coming from Knoxville you would be going on I-40 West, then get off on 840 towards Murfresboro. I believe there is an exit for Smyrna, its where the Nissan plant is located.

I know of one first gen truck, the pic is over on the chapter discussion thread from out meet a couple weeks back. I'm glad to see some interest in this thing from such so far off!!

BUMP Ok, checked with one place saturday about sending a guy out to represent the company, he said to get back with him at the first of the year. I'm gonna try another local speed/aftermarket shop on monday sometime, see if they want to sponsor, get some free advertisement kinda stuff, maybe I can whiddle some prizes out of them??? It's worth a shot!!

The one guy asked if it was just for Dodge trucks and I told him that we liked all diesels for the most part, but the Cummins in the Dodge would most likely be the largest brand there. But, did say that Ford and GM's were welcome if someone was interested in showing up.

Well, I'd love to go. But it look like I'll be making another trip back to the PH again on the 9th-21st that month. So I'll be a no show.

That's one of those things that gets *top* priority.

With the flex coupling replaced recently due to a failure in Magee Mississippi, and a DTT-certified trans tuning, I ought to be ready to dyno.

I'll try to make it up there - some of them folks with lots of valves need to be reminded now & then just where this all started.

Best wishes to your wife, and have a bottle of something good in the house for the celebration.
