So are we going to meet in the parking lot and kick some tires, or just meet in Hemmingways? Since the common interest here is diesel trucks, we definitely have to have a pow-wow out in the parking lot.

I was kind of figuring we'd meet in the parking lot and bs for a while first, then go in and eat. But that was before I found out everyone was bringing wives and kids and dogs and such, who might not as a group find that quite so interesting as we dieselheads.

Of course, judging by the size of the crew he's bringing, Pistol will probably be driving a school bus or something, so nobody's gonna want to kick its tires anyway.

I just figured I would look for where all the trucks were parked!
Lets just play that part by ear.. never know what the weathers gonna do, and all... besides, we can always wander in and out..
I figured on parking "out" a bit so there would be room for everyones truck in one area.
I HAD thought to try and get there early, but now it looks like I may be a bit past noon....( the BOSS isnt sure she wants to leave at 0400... )

If we park in the lot behind the BP Outlet store we can probably get the back area to ourselves. That's where most of the RV people park and there should be room for pistol's bus back there also.

Anyone from anywhere, really. The more the merrier. They're saving a table for us in the restaurant, I believe, but such things can always be worked around in one way or another. In fact, I really figured we might have a few Oklahoma folks come up there, too. Tulsa to Springfield is a shorter drive than KC to Springfield, since they're both on I-44

this particular get-to-gether started as a welcome home sort of thing for PistolWhipt, who is going to be home on leave that weekend.
It just sort of blossomed into the first unofficial meeting of DTR#30 I think...
Anyone who wants to come is welcome, we have a group reservation for 30 people in the restaurant, but I dont think it will be a problem if we are a few dozen over that!

So far no Okies that I know of, but a couple Jay-hawkers and some show-me types are promising to be there... we may have one or two ****-nobbers as well.........if they can find shoes so they can get inside .........

Glad to see your rigs back on the road. I hardly ever have the time to turn the pc on during the weekend and didn't see the post until this morning. My youngest boy had a bullride in SE Mo Saturday night and I was down there. The kid missed the buckle and money by 2 tenths of a second. No one else was even close to making the buzzer. He was po'ed something fierce. I egged him on a little more by reminding him that I was paying for him to go to Sankey's school in June and that we would have Lyle work with him on riding away from his hand.
