Yes Leigh Ann should be home the night of the 10th of March.

1 April Friday evening we will be running some trucks on the dyno.

2 April We will be dyning trucks and then in the afternoon moving over to the race track.

We added a new member to the family its a 700 lb baby that isn't even done being built yet.
It has a whooping 85 ft.Lbs. of torque.
It's a Heritage Softail Classic, we should have it the end of April.

See Ya
Chris
Congrats on the bike Chris!!! We need to get together and ride some when you get it!!

Thanks Wayne, It needs to get here first and then I need to remember all the stuff about riding bikes and then we can talk about going for some rides.

Yes Leigh Ann is HOME finally, life is much better.

I am looking forward to our event more each day, I may try a new set of injectors for my truck in a vain attempt to keep up with Leigh Ann's truck. I guess someone needs to run the camera.

I am thinking she will flat out run me real bad, I hope to have the 3500 running in the 14/15 sec. range. Not bad for a truck that weighs almost 2 tons.

This is a great time
See Ya
Chris
ps soon to have new dyno numbers for our stock 3500

You don't need injectors,,,,,,,,,,,, You need an A-U-T-O-M-A-T-I-C !! instead of that John Deere tractor tranny,,,,,,,,,,,,

2 tons? Where'd you get such a light truck? You remove the CTD and tranny to cut weight?

I'm on call, but I'm trying to convince my backup guy to cover me for the day...

What are the fees looking like?

Would like to spin the rollers before we do the timing, to get some hard numbers on how advancing the timing helps things..

Oh, and with any luck, I might have some interesting looking "parts" to show off..

I can tell you that the runs will cost you $40.00 for 2 or $60.00 for 4 As for the track I think they charge $25.00 to run the sportsman class and they run 1/4 mile. All the others are 1/8 mile.

Looks like I might just be around. Not heading to VA for Mopar madness after all. I want to meet some more diesel folks for sure. I will be running the car at coastal plains on sat. Shouldn't be hard to find me, one of the few Mopars there and usually the only yellow one. LOL

Looking forward to meeting you guys.

Hello All
Yes, the other Chris, I was correted by Leigh Ann that her truck weighs twice as much as I wrote down.

We are thinking that the truck with training wheels will run in the low 15s or maybe even break into the 14s. Not bad for a strong running "stock truck". We are running a Goerend/DTT transmission and a little black box or two and this is a different truck. Gone are the days of the mushy shifts. The truck shifts and drives much better. We used about a somewhere between a 1/8 and 1/4 of a tank less fuel on the way home. That was with me listening to the NASCAR/Atlanta race while driving. I will add this and be done, with the TST box on pulling out to pass is a quick event she will run up to 80/90 mph very fast.

John_P has been doing a bunch of leg work and phone calls and has some rewards for the folks attending this event. I am going to leave it at that and let him expound on what we are going to do or we will leave it a mystery.

The decision has been made that we will not be giving out trophies for this event. We will have some things that will be giving to a bunch of folks attending.

It sure would be nice if a truck that can run in the 11s or lower could show up. In Dec we had a Durmax run and spank all the Cummings very badly. It maybe that the Dodges don't go that fast I don't know.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks.
See Ya
Chris

Leigh, I know that all of us here on the DTR wish you a very warm "WELCOME HOME!"
I know that Chris and Jeffrey are really glad you are home "safe and sound!" We are all
looking forward to seeing you at the get-together on April 2nd!

As Chris already told you we are planning to make this event a little different than
the past rallies we had here. In talking with Chris right after he posted this event,
we decided to try and secure products from various diesel vendors to give away to
all of you through random drawings with 50/50 tickets. We both feel that the trophies
were nice, but felt that giving everyone who attends a chance to "take something home"
was a better way to do things! Joel (Dieseldude 4X4) did this at Claremont and we felt
it is a great thing to do. (Thanks for the idea Joel! ) Some of you that attend our event
make a pretty good drive down here to N.C. and we appreciate that, so hopefully this
will be a better way for more people to get a free gift from the various diesel vendors
and stores we have contacted. Like my wife always says, "John everyone likes to get
something for free" and she is right! So,........that is what we have planned. I have
already secured many products from various diesel vendors across the U.S. and hope
to get a few more.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

This is shaping up to be a fun event. John call if you need anything. Which truck are you bringing to drag race? I am thinking Leighs truck will be well into the 14s, so papa smurf will have to find some one else to race. Tim

I am reall looking forward to the event now. I just finished installing my BD RAD II device. What a neat little gadget. It even has a tire adjustment on it. I just hope I can read the tree lights better this time. I hate having reactions times the same as some of you travel the first 60 feet.
