If any of you Va guys think you me need a GN, let me know. I already have it on the truck from last weekend. If not, I'll drop it before I head south.

Any preferences on the beverages yet? Barley pops, sodas, etc?

If I get the car cleaned and loaded up in time, I will run out to Waynes Sat morn and meet some of you guys. Looking forward to seeing all the trucks.

What time are you guys heading to the track? I just saw on the website that they are running Sat night. I thought they were still running day races. Glad I checked.

If I don't get out to Waynes, feel free to stop by and chat. I will be somewhere in the pits with a white 3500 and a yellow plym duster.

see ya

I'll be there... Changed the overdue fuel filter last night, tried (in vain) to get my boost back down to 35psi again, checked all the levels, and did some 4wd straight-line runs..

Not too confident about the 4wd.. the actuator stinks (have to stop & backup to get it to engage), but more than that, I hear more noise when in 4wd. Only went to about 40mph.

I'm just freaking paranoid after what happened last time I heard ANY noise from that area under the truck...

Mine will be the ugly, worn out white 3500 with the Big-'ol bumper.

Well, gotta go load up the cooler with Bud Lites for Tim. Getting ready to go and meet Stamey in Stony Creek to head on down. Catch ya's later this afternoon if everything goes right.
Hope Wayne has room to park a 30 foot GN out back somewhere.

Later
Joel

I'll be leaving around 0500 and should see y'all later on in the morning providing the creeks don't rise too high. I'm borrowing one of the grand kid's pool floats just in case.

Shoot, we may need the floatation device to get there. It's suppose to rain in to the afternoon. I just looked at the weather map and we are suppose to have a substantial amount of rain.

Guys (and gals!), I have to say - this was my first DTR event, and I couldn't be happier to be associated with such a fine group.

Thanks again to the organizers, sponsors, and Wayne & the crew for a fun filled day!!

I'm getting the pics and video off my camera now, I'll arrange for somewhere to host 'em.

Talking Fun day!

Hey folks,
A big thanks to all the folks who put this event together. As usual, I think eveyone had a good time, even though the weather could have been a little kinder and the dragstrip would have been open. All in all, I don't think you could dampen any spirits when "Diesel-Heads" can get together and share info, stories and see just what can be done with the diesel motor.
Eskimo,
Thanks for sharing the pics and if anyone wants to upload any jpegs in the gallery, I have set up a category under DTR Chapters > North Carolina > Dyno Meet 4-2-05
HERE

Once again,,,,,,,, A BIG THANKS to the folks that put this together!

Jess, "Eskimo" and Dennis thanks for all of your nice comments!

As Jess already said, although the rain prevented us from getting out to the drag strip
I think everyone had a great time at the"Waynes Dyno." I know that I sure did! I want
to extend my sincere thanks to Wayne for putting the dyno event on at his shop yet
again! For those of you that were "first timers" at our diesel event, you should know
that Wayne has ALWAYS stepped up and helped us each and every time we have
put this event on. Thanks again Wayne for all you and your crew did for us!

As all of you know, an event like this cannot be put on without alot of "behind the scenes"
planning and work. As previously posted by me, Chris Dubie and myself thought we would
make some changes this time and give away products to you guys from various diesel
vendors and local businesses. We did just that and in my opinion gave away some pretty
nice stuff! I want to SINCERELY thank the below listed diesel vendors and local businesses
that gave us products to give all of you at this event! As I said at our event, PLEASE
consider these diesel vendors and businesses when you need parts and accessories
for your Dodge, Ford or Chevy diesel trucks! It is your business that keeps them going
and your business that also enables them to help us at events like this!! Here are the
diesel vendors and and contacts along with the local businesses that gave us products
for this event:

1.) Scheid Diesel, Terre Haute, Indiana (My thanks to J.P. Pezan and Dan Scheid)
2.) ATS Diesel Performance, Arvada, Colo.(My thanks to Clint and Ranee Cannon)
3.) TST Products, Colombus, Indiana (My thanks to Mark and Gina Chapple)
4.) Forest City Diesel, Rolla, Mo. (My thanks to Keith and Lisa Livingstone)
5.) 30 Minute Muffler, Jacksonville, N.C. (My thanks to Craig and Tracy Barnard)
6.) Auto Zone, Jacksonville, N.C.
7.) Advanced Auto Parts
8.) Downes Performance Welding and Fabrication, Wilmington, N.C. (My thanks to
Bobby Downes)
9.) Tim Barber Diesel Performance, Virginia Beach, Va. (Thanks Tim)
10.) National Dodge, Jacksonville, N.C.
11.) Sears, Jacksonville, N.C.

In addition to these businesses, there were many of our own DTR Members that helped
us out at the event. My sincere thanks to the following members:

1.) Chris and Leigh Dubie, Scheduling, calling vendors, bringing pork loin to eat.
2.) Tom Goodall and Cris Sonniehsen, buying pizza for lunch.
3.) Joel Williams Buying cooler full of soft drinks and "barley pops."
4.) John Porterfield, Jr. Buying soft drinks and helping me carry products!
5.) Brian and Sandy Buchanan Helping Leigh prepare pork BBQ for lunch.

If I forgot anyone I sincerely apologize!! I will post the dyno numbers in the next
block.

My thanks to all who attended!

---------------
Sincerely,

John_P
