Dang Rick, I thought that Tulare was far! I would LOVE to go, but Redding is 10 1/2 hours away from me Sounds like a good time though...have fun up there!

Alright bud, let me talk to my section leader about maybe swapping duty days with somebody (I have duty that Saturday ) then drop the idea off in the wife's inbox (bringin up a 10 1/2 hour trip to watch our trucks race/pull might cause the water to boil over a bit if you catch my drift ...this is one of those things I need to approach with caution and I think that some roses with a card and a little disclaimer stating that I want to go to NorCal to make this event just MIGHT do the trick, whaddaya think?! ) and I'll let ya know! Sounds like it will be a good time!

 

This is an outstanding event! I'm sure she'll have a good time.

Ok, Rick...here's the skinny. I am in the process of running a leave chit which I should know in the next few days if it gets approved or not (I don't see why it wouldn't though). Heather will be off work somewhere between 3 and 4pm on Friday and we should be on our way. I MIGHT have a buddy with me, if that is ok with you and I emphasize MIGHT (he's down here for schools and is pretty busy). I don't know where you live as a reference point from my house to see how long a drive we're talking and what time I would possibly be showing up at your house?

This is a darn shame! I'm driving 10 1/2 hours to this event and we can't get more folks to post up than this!?!

Oh...gotcha...I am thinking that Sacramento is about 4-5 hours from San Diego right...so basically you are the halfway point?

 

We're about 6 hours North of L.A.

Oh, belay my last then...you're about 8 hours from me...that's fine...I'm down for a weekend excursion! I will let you know for sure in the next few days what they say about my leave chit...you never said, IF my buddy comes with, is that ok with you?

My wife and I are FINE with a portion of floor! If need be, we can lay out in the bed of the truck!

 

Funny Rick, my new 5er is 35 ft long wont fit in your yard. but thanks anyway. looking to stay in redding, all day friday half of sat cause i got to work on sunday morning. still working on the wife to go. Ha socal do you ever go to glamis ? The wife and me are looking to go. we have 2 quads,1 sandrail.

 

I have a 40' Rv pad complete with 30A hookup. Your little trailer should be no problem. LOL!

I just figured it would save you fuel.

Nope, we have never been to Glamis...I would like to, but we don't have any quads or anything and I'm just not too keen on taking the $50k truck out in the sand (it's kinda tough on vehicles and stuff)...Frm what I hear, though, it's a good time!
