I tried taking a couple of pictures earlier today, but the camera was too cold and didn't want to cooperate.

And a second thanks to Rowland for getting us going with that good coffee and for letting us take a "hit" off of his Smarty. I think there are some new addicts that will have to feed their habit. And I guess I'll have to get up early in the morning to go play with the high idle again since it looks like it will be cold enough again to make it work.

Dan, your more than welcome for the constant assitance.

Justin, lights looked great. I'm glad they went on nice and easy.

B.A.Ram, sorry about your radio but at least you got a stock one now. Nice meeting ya. Hope you can make the next one.

Rowland, I hope you got everything figured out. I can't wait to get my catcher. That smarty was just to much fun.

Robert, good seeing you again. You got a pretty cool kid. Now you just need to teach him how to work on dad's CTD.

Rob, I'm disappointed in ya. Ya koncked out early on me. Oh well. At least you didn't lose your crown this time.

Everybody, great seeing yall again. I had a blast. Hopefully next time it won't be 19* and raining outside.

Clearance lights are finished....got my wiring finished up a little bit ago after getting the truck unpacked. Note to self for next time....don't use the old bulbs that have been laying around on the workbench for a while, get new ones Oh well, I get to check my install tomorrow after a trip to the store.

We sure can pick the weekends, Huh? The ONLY winter weekend of the year... for a get together! But, thanks to Dan's heated shop... worked out great! Great food too, Dan! Have not been that cold (fri nite) and still had fun in a long time...actually ever!
It's so cool that everyone who tried the Smarty got a bonus... "high Idle activation". Just hope it did not screw up anyone's speedo recalibration? Does seem to have taken mine back to factory stock!

Talked to Bob Wagner on my way home. He's waiting to talk to Marco... but I'm sure they will make it right. Just dawned on me that the problem truck was a 99... which was the one reflash that Marco had to reprogram since sending out the Smartys. Think there is a connection Justin?? Will let you know how we resolve the situation.

Justin, thanks for the PM... checking the high idle parameters was on my to do list for today at work. Like was said... almost impossible to activate it in Tx... but we found one day at least. I don't see the 3 cyl. idle ever kicking in

Nice truck, Ryan... glad to finally meet you. We'll get you on the Smarty next time!
Tyler gets the "farthest traveled" award... hope roads were ok going home?

Charlie, hope all worked out ok for you this weekend!

Great seeing everyone! Mark your calenders for the ODRA (Outlaw Diesel Racing Association)... All Diesel Dyno Day on April 1st... in Emory, Texas!!!

See you there... if not before.

Rowland

The roads were fine all the way home. Only problem I had with them was it seemed the entire way home the speed limit was 60mph due to construction. I also checked my speedo and mine is still accurate. Every mile marker was one mile on my odometer and I'm still getting the same rpm's at 70 that I used to. Who knows. I hope Bob and Marco get it figured out. My ecm should be here today.

Well,
Apparently I had a good time. Got to "help" with some ball joints, eat some awesome fajitas, drink some excellent coffee (thanks RJ), sleep in a warm camper and help Dan feed his dog .
Got a hit off the Smarty (thanks RJ)and will probably order one this week .
Glad everyone got home alright and a big thanks to Dan for letting us use his shop and tools and warm camper. Well, at least the second night was warm. I am told the first night the propane for the heater ran out, I don't want to know how BigBlue and AggieJustin stayed warm in there.

Trust me, it wasn't fun trying to stay warm that night. As a matter of fact, it down right sucked. But, since Dan is the man that he is, he got us all setup and warm for the second night. Way to go dan.

It's possible there is a connection, but it's hard to say without knowing what was changed to correct the 99 5spd issue. But since the problem truck wasn't a 5spd, not sure if it would come into play or not. But I would let Marco know that we updated the Smarty with the new program so he's looking at the right code.
