By the way, Thanks everybody for looking over the Weekend Warrior and giving opinions on the frame, price, etc. at the April meet.
I weighed out the truck and trailer at the CAT scales in Anna with and without the trailer. The weights were as follows with the trailer: 4460 on the steering axle, 5060 on the drive axle, and 6560 on the trailer axles for a total combined weight of 16080lbs.
The truck by itself on the way back from dropping off the trailer was 4840 on the steering axle and 3200 on the drive axle for a total of 8040lbs.
So, the trailer with just a little bit of water in it weighs in the neighborhood of 8000lbs and has a GVWR of 11,100lbs. So it has plenty of capacity for "toy" hauling. The problem is that the tongue weight is about 1800lbs.
That is insane! My stock hitch is rated at 12,000lbs with weight distribution bars (which it has) and 1200lbs of pin weight. Some 600lbs to heavy for the rating. That might be actually a little less if I had some "toys" in the rear of the trailer balancing it better,,,,,,,but still.
So I have pretty much decided to get the trailer but also buy a Class V hitch that will handle that pin weight with a little more comfort. Thoughts?

Nahh....Black is good. Besides I still have a Chrome Cummins "C" badge on the tailgate! But the Satin wheels are maybe? a step in the right direction.
What it needs is a nice set of "BLACK" Ladder Bars underneath very similar to Rowlands!

How much water inside the cab??
Might need drain holes in those new traction bars.

NONE!!! not going that far they can all swim for water in the cab!!
Think the traction bars would have to rust for a long, LONG time to lose any strength! Was fun and actually got a 2% boost on my final grade in the class for being one of the 3 that showed up period!!

Hey RJ and Brian... boost gauge question
What brand of gauge are ya'll running to handle the boost your putting out with the twins?
I'm NOT saying I will be putting twins on, but I may be upgrading to a bigger turbo. I have found a ISSPRO gauge that goes to 60#. Is there one that goes higher?

Yup. ISSPRO makes an 80psi and a 100psi. I'd just get the 60psi. That's plenty for what your gonna do and plenty for 95% of the members on this website. To run 60psi you really need studs and o-rings and twins and lots of fuel. 40-45psi will support 450-500hp with ease if not more.

Agree! Most twins only put out 65 psi (like Brian's & mine). If I had known I was only at 65 psi I would have kept my 0-60 gauge.... because it reads in individual lbs. My 0-100 gauge only has hash marks at 5 psi intervals.... much harder to read exact pressures.
Not sure about the 0-80 in an EV gauge?? You only want the EV type gauge in an ISSPRO!
