Sounds like it's time for "Swampers" or an alternate route.

Our forcast for today was 40% possible rain showers. Just got a Tornado Watch posted till 6 pm and had 'severe' T-storm go overhead. Rained so hard we lost power for an hr and I could not see my truck parked 40 yds away!

Dan, Charlie & I were lucky this "unstable air" wasn't so bad on Saturday! All we had was a mild wet t-shirt contest..... Nobody won!

I suddenly got real sick.

I think god is trying to get rid of dallas and the surrounding area. Yall have been getting pounded here lately. It's sunny and warm and humid down here right now. Gotta be pushing 90*. It feels soooooo awesome.

We haven't made it to that size yet. Our current version is mounted on a 16' bumper pull trailer with about 13' of pit and firebox. We did use Weatherford's smaller party rig one year (pulled some strings through friends). It was an awesome rig, full canopy, stainless steel cabinets/counters, water and electrical hookups. We've just started building on the ground floor.

Think you'll be able to discover a set of those marks on 78 before Ardmore?
I'm fixing to pull the trigger on a G-Tech Pro!

I was getting sick thinking about that too!!!

With the recent storms and 70 mph + winds, I am just glad to be able to come home to a house still standing! Driving home today from Mississippi, I took 380 from Greenville and it was very NICE to see Lake Lavon ALMOST full again!!!!

And, my Smarty on 9 netted me a solid, for sure, hand calculated 18+ mpg driving 75 +. Not to bad for an 8040 pound, thirsty 3rd gen.

Well tonight was interesting. My buddy who's truck decided to start a valve ticking noise 130 miles after we installed the dual disk decided to drop a valve and possibly bend a rod tonight while he was going home. That engine sounds absolutely horrible. Like a cracked out midget with a hammer is inside the block. So it's parked in lexington at a liquor store (convenient huh) and tomorrow it's going to get towed to the shop. His mom asked him how much the truck is worth if it's not running.

Dang BB, are you up this early or this late? Maybe since the engine had more resistance from the new clutch(es) it made a problem worse to the point that it could be found.

Yeah. Me and justin had to drive to lexington at 11 this evening, pick him up, take him to elgin, then come back to CS. I didn't realize it was 5:30 already. Time for me to hit the sack.

I dunno what happened to it. All I know is we went to huntsville and back, drove around town, turned the truck off, fired it up 5 mins later and it was ticking. Pulled the valve cover and the #2 exhaust rocker was about to fall off. Tightened it back down and lashed it and it sounded the same. So on the way home it progressively got worse to the point the truck was loping like a big block gasser and it finally gave out at a stop sign.
