The 10'th works for me. I can bring the GN if we need an extra long shooting bench that is about waist hi. Works good for that. Gotta round up a few appliances too. I'd like to pop a few caps from this new 30-06 if you think it will be safe to do so. I'm sure Joshua (MOPAR440) will be in too for that weekend.

Looks like we need to go to Dinwiddie on the 16'th. Hadn't seen that event until Dennis posted it. Anyone up for that too?

Looks like we need to get a poll started and post some good directions for those of us "geographically challenged" Dennis.

Sure Joel. Bring it on. I shoot my 270 out there with no problems.
Directions to be posted soon.
Also, if those that are available on one of the dates and not the other want to come on the date of their choice, come on on that date. I don't want to deny anyone a chance to shoot. Just let me know and the range will be available.

Joel,
What's the Dinwiddie thing? I looked for a post, but must be blind this morning.

What day is the meet?
I've got a couple of microwaves, and a few assorted other "targets of opportunity" assembled.

I just pulled up the site you posted about the diesel shootout race, I am hoping to drag the 5er up there for that event. Where is that being held at?? That sounds like a event similar to the big rig races up in Maryland.
With Leigh Ann being gone, if I ain't driving somewhere doing something, I am out doing yard work. My favorite tool is quickly becoming the CHAINSAW. I am sure I will catch heck when she gets home and sees how things are "trimmed back"
Take care

The way I see it, it is better for "them" to be blowing things up overthere than it is for "them" to be blowing stuff up in our back yard.
Freedom ain't free
See Ya

It's right off of I 85 in Dinwiddie. You can come up I 95 to Virginia 40 west at Stoney Creek (like you were coming to Claremont) if that's easier. Take 40 west (about 18 miles or so) to I 85 north at McKinney and it's about 20 miles or so.

Let me know when you're coming up and I can meet you somewhere. Or you can come here and park the fiver in the driveway for the night and we'll go up Saturday morning early.

I didn't know anyone was waiting on me. Sorry. I'm fine with whatever day. I am planning my October around this event. Just let me know what you want to do.
I'll even do a couple of different days for those that may not be able to make it to the first event.

All we have to do is agree on a day.
If Dzilla brings his grill we will have BBQ chicken for lunch.

Post Directions

For those of you who want to use a map, the address is:
1991 Judes Ferry Rd Powhatan, VA 23139-6204

Mapquest Link
The map shows that Judes Ferry doesn't go all the way to Rt 60. It does.

From the North
Take I-95 to I-295 North, near Richmond, Ride it to the end and pick up I-64 West. About 3 miles on I-64 you will hit I-288 South. Pay no attention to the "Local traffic only" sign, they haven't changed it since 288 opened.

From the West:
Take I-64 East, towards Richmond, until you reach I-288 South, about 11 miles out of Richmond. Pay no attention to the "Local traffic only" sign, they haven't changed it since 288 opened.

From the East:
Take I-64 West to I-288, about 11 miles West of Richmond.

From North, East and West:
Once you hit I-288, ride to the current end, which will be Route 60 (Midlothian turnpike). Take Rt 60 West. 7 miles out you will hit a traffic light at Judes Ferry Road. Turn Right.
My driveway is .9 or a mile on the left, under the large power lines. Yes, that's right, just under a mile off of Rt 60.

From the South:
Take I-95 North to Chippenham parkway. Take Chippenham parkway to Rt 60 West (Midlothian Turnpike). Take Rt 60 17 miles West, and you will hit a traffic light at Judes Ferry Road. Turn right. My driveway is .9 or a mile on the left, under the large power lines. Yes, that's right, just under a mile off of Rt 60.

I hope these are easy to understand. If not, please let me know.
I am looking forward to this.

Chris
