David,

Firstly, you guys worked hard for your money. Thats for certain! Great job. No broken dynos and lots of participants

Looks like the 24 valves are squarely "in the money" for the HP honorable mentions running Mach injectors.

I get asked from time to time if the Machs will work with NOS. I never really knew until this weekend. Looks like they worked with it for Opie to put the highest number on your Dyno at 738 while spraying conservative juice.

24 Valves running Diesel only ruled the Dyno with Machs.

Looks like they have the first 5 places if you compare 24 Valve VP truck to 24 Valve VP truck.

Tim Barber = 612
John Demartino = 603 ( Sunday after some tweaks )
Trevor Wood = 593.6
John DeMartino = 592 ( Saturday )
Fred Huber = 573 ( Dually )
Meacham Evins = 565

Congrats to the hard work these guys put into their trucks and the long miles traveled to compete

Looks like next year we will have to bring out some 12 valves to play and dyno as well.

Don~

That is awesome Don. Obviously when I run them, I have no idea who's got what.

Did you say hello and I forget? If you did and I forgot then you didn't say, hey **** it, I'm Don M.

Hardest day for me was Sunday. I would MUCH rather been racing. Shut down at 2:PM for finals and to pack up.

I was glad to see so many more high HP trucks this year. Highest last year was 608.
Great Time!!!

David, It was a crazy weekend. I brought two of my four kiddos with me and was 'hearding cats" the entire time.

Dad, Im hungry. Dad we need something to drink. Dad, we need to go pee. Dad, we need to go poop. Dad, Dad, Dad!

Sunday I got to return to my table at the Roadhouse to find my 6 year old just could not "hold it in" while I took the other one to the restroom It broke his heart to have that happen and he would not go back into the Roadhouse. I told him not to worry his old Man has that kind of stuff happen too and not that long ago

Looking back, I would take them next year too

What the heck, the year is not over. Im certain we will get some time to talk at an event soon!

Meach had a good day at the track in his truck. I know John DeMartino made a 111 MPH run in his 24 valve on Diesel only, but it popped a heater hose on your Dyno and everyone thought it was the head gasket. He did not have time to get it fixed up and back to race after that. Meach you made me proud Man!

Don~

I heard that later, and was glad it wasn't the head gasket. John sure was taking it well that he may have popped a gasket... I NEVER like to see damage on the dyno. Strong truck for sure.

A big congrats to the top dogs, especially Tim, Trevor, and Meachim. I was especially pleased to see Trevor near the top, since he was the first KSB1B/B2 twin setup that we attempted, and we just weren't sure how it was going to work out. We're especially pleased with those numbers, as they were posted with a cracked wastegate mount and a slipping automatic.

A big thanks to Don for the heads, injectors, and tuning tips that appear to have put them up with the big boys.

And Meach you overweight old dawg. Stay away from the beer and with the weight savings you should be down into the 11's next year :P

There were a lot of strong trucks there! Don M thank you for the injectors, the truck has NEVER run so good, there is no doubt that they were an important part of me making 600 on #2. A huge thank you to Nathan Wright and Steve Opie, for tuning my truck on saturday night, til 3am, it never would have made 600 without it! Also thanks to C hawk (Chris H) for supplying the beer sat night for our tuning session, and giving me a ride to get my tow vehicle on sunday. Also a big thank you to Trevor Wood ,who supplied the fittings to get the truck running again on sunday, and the grinder to cut the pipe,as well as a hand with the head gasket swap, On a final note,I didnt blow the gasket on the dyno,i did however blow it once i got home monday .

John,

Just saw this post.

Your very welcome, just wish i could have done more.

And thank you, now that i've driven a 600+hp truck, mine sucks. Now I have to make it faster. I've got a few things in the works.

Later,
Chris

Don putting the poop aside I hear that Mach 7's and your race pump is coming out soon. That is too cool!

John, your truck sure seemed like it was stronger than 603 on our last run Sun morning. I hope the new head works out better than your last ones. You have paid your dues and deserve one that can hold up.

Chris I too would like to give a belated thanks for the beers as well.

Trevor though I don't agree with some of your other part selections, I have always wanted to try the B1 - B2 combo myself. And your combo obvioulsy has alot more power to offer when you get them optimized. Just try to keep your launches under 15 psi.

TankerYanker,
Thanks, perhaps next year I will actually be able to put that power to the ground at that event.

David, Keeping the dyno up and running for both days is a big feat in itself. (Job well done!) When you asked how much power I was planning on making on the first attempt I said a little over 500 and since I didn't realize I had the comp box off it was 515. (I refer to that as the Christene affect.) Cracked me up. Seems like the truck literally listens to me sometimes.

See you next year!

Opie
