Great to meet everybody and put some faces to the names. I made an effort to talk to everybody there, managed to get my hands dirty, and poked my head into as many hoods as I could

I think some have gotten the wrong impression of me- no HD here- I ride a Kawasaki! I always thought I wanted a fatboy until I went and looked at them. IMO I got the best looking and best bike for the money. All I'm going to say is that I've got a water cooled, 4 hydralically adjusted valves per cylinder big twin from a manufacturer that also runs in John Deere's =P I got the Kaw- so maybe my sign should be Kawboy, but it is what it is. I'm pushing 300, so I can be a phatboy =P

BTW who was it that had the spotlights behind the grill? That was a nice touch.

Good times, good people, some wrenching, an overabundance of supervision.
Pretty much a typical VADTR event.
The Meet & Eat turned into a Meet & .............
The "eat" part was me picking up a coupla cheeseburgers on the trip home.

Good times were had, Tim stayed very busy, and we all got to see the best way to change the turbo on a 3rd Genner.
It's alot more involved that my 2nd Gen.

Hope we can have another get together soon.

Yup, I think I should get a plaque for "Longest turbo swap"!
Tim and Tim should get a plaque for "Most patient installers during a crisis""
Sorry for anyone that was in line behind me that didn't get their work done. Who'd of though we would have so much trouble???

And just remember........

I offered to bring food and you guys said no!! We all could have eaten well while my truck was getting worked on...

Hey guys, thanks for letting a couple of North Carolina boys hang out. Good to meet those of you who I was able to. Sorry I didn't get to shake everyones hand, but I was a little distracted with the clutch swap and then learning of the brake issue and having to tackle that one too before the ride home. Good time just the same despite me being on a mission.

Dodgezilla, sorry for blocking you in when the auto parts store run for brake pads turned into late lunch. Manganos, Rick D, thanks for the ride for the parts/lunch run!

Timinva, thanks again for all the help. Everyone else too....Mark, other Tim, sorry if I leave anyone else out.

Enjoyed meeting all and hope the Carolina boys will be allowed to visit again.

Enjoyed it, Matt

That's alright but you could have brought us lunch back after holding me hostage like that!!! Glad you got your truck fixed before you tore the rotors up.

And Tim, I am going to need to get a new gasket for the Banks downpipe. When it's cold it leaks pretty bad but stops once it heats up. Just an FYI for the future....

Fun day and I didn't even get dirty,,,,,, not to mention that I didn't step on the tranny jack release lever,,,, not even once! I was supervising the supervisors so that the Head-Supervisor (Ted,,, Tim's Dad) could relax. We also got some new members signed up too! Somehow,,,, we are going to need to come up with a way to stop all work for a lunch break so that the mechanics can eat. I think I'm going to put that in the Chapter rule book,,,,,, "Lunch breaks are manditory and NEVER turn down the offer for folks wanting to bring food."
It was great seeing everyone again and meeting some new faces.

I enjoyed helping (what little I did??) with everyone's truck. Ted and the other 3, 4 or 7 supervisors made sure we stayed busy.
It was good to see everyone and this time I wasn't forced to the hospital, for my appendix. I guess that can't happen again, huh. And finally, I got to join the chapter. Look forward to next time.

Dang dude, sorry I missed you. I wanted to check out the seat situation. I have a buddy hunting down the wiring diagrams for a 99 Ram, and maybe there's still hope of me getting these seats working. I will get the diagrams tomorrow.
