Eastern NC Dyno Day December 13th
Re:Eastern NC Dyno Day December 13th
Hey Tim, I see you have been doing some work on your truck since I last saw you.
All, earlier in the posts Mrs. Smurf talked about the possibility of getting together Friday evening for dinner. Does that look like it's going to happen? Also, there was talk about taking a cruise through j-ville on the way to Waynes. I'm still shooting for making it down on Friday, but won't know for sure until we get closer to the date.
I'm not planning on doing the dyno though. I already know what my truck is doing from the last time we got together up in Joel's turf; plus I haven't done anything else to the motor. I might play on the track once..... especially since there seems to be an availability of a trailer to get it back home. ;D

I'm planning to make it and my son is also looking at a diesel slug too. Maybe it will be here by then.
I can bring the GN trailer if anyone thinks we may need it.
SmurF: got any numbers for those hotels?

The nicer motels are on the other side of town from me and their on Hwy. 17. Comfort Suites 910-346-8900,Hoilday Inn Express 910-347-1900, Super Eight 910-455-6888, the Fairfield Inn is just off of 17 1-800-228-2800,Hampton Inn 910-347-6500, Days Inn 910-347-5131. The better resturants
are near there also. About 15 mins thru town traffic to get to my shop and the track is 2.2 miles from my shop.

Thanks for the numbers. I will probably come down Friday just to get away from here and look around. We have been working eight weeks now 70 to 80 hours a week. I am ready to get away.
Tim, I will probably drag the GN along just for GP. It is not that far and you never know, I may find something that will want to follow me home.

As as lodging, Wayne posted the above phone numbers, I will have to drive out that way and see which is closest and see if we can get a group rate.
For the Campers
This is the recommended spot Cabin Creek Campground phone number (910)346-4808 The flyer I am looking at has a price of $25.00 per night that is with power/water and sewer.
For active Duty and retirees
On Camp LeJeune they have a Hospitality Inn phone number is (910)451-3041.
I hope this helps.

Re:Eastern NC Dyno Day December 13th
Dad talked to Robbie at National Dodge in Jacksonville, and he is going to put up 3 items for us:
1) A brand new 2004 HO to dyno
2) A trophy for top HP
3) A trophy for fastest E.T or bracket winner (whichever we decide)
I thought that was pretty nice for National to offer up all of that! I also think he has contacted Marine Chevrolet and Sanders Ford, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

Re:Eastern NC Dyno Day December 13th
Going to Arkansas to look at another diesel slug for my son this weekend. May have a good one to dyno. The fellow that owns it says he would expect around 400 hp with the mods he has done to it. Cool................
Re:Eastern NC Dyno Day December 13th
I went out to the Monster Motor Shootout today out at the dragway. I was not able to talk to anyone about this event, due to everyone being busy with the current event.
I will try and get up with the powers to be out at the race track. I will post when I find out more info.
See Ya

Re:Eastern NC Dyno Day December 13th
I was asked about duallies on the dyno. My doors are 8'11" wide and the dyno rollers are 81" wide so if your truck will fit then it can be run on the dyno.
I talked to the Ford dealer today and they said they would have a truck here along with some other stuff.
