O.K. Matt,.......I'll run that truck of yours with my 2006 in "stock" form if you promise to run me in my 1996 Dodge CTD 12 valve! Since there has been alot
of fun "banter" going on here, let me predict this on the race between your truck and my 2006 with me basing this on your "performances" at the Rockingham event. I can almost guarantee that you will LOSE the race to about the 1/8th mile mark and then pass me after that. If you agree to this and you then race me in my 96' Dodge CTD 12 valve I will also guarantee that I will try to get in the left lane so you can eat my black smoke all the way down the track from the staging lights to the traps! Sounds fair to me,.......whaddya think???

John, you know I'm just messing with you, but yeah I'll race both. I'm not sure I can even stay with your 06, especially if you have the Smarty on it but at least it will be a race. And yes, you will smoke me off the line with the auto and especially since it has the ATS in it. You and I both know I won't be within 4 seconds of your 12 valve.....if it throws that much black smoke, not sure how safe that would be to have you in the left lane but I've always wondered what my truck would look like black? We can line them up all in good fun though.

Hope you're right though.
I think with a clean third gear launch and no missed shift it's possible. Your truck has the power to run a quick ET. I was impressed when I drove it.

John's 06 is a pretty strong truck for stock. I remember when my truck was stock, it doesn't even compare. I can't wait to see John's 96 in action and Cris's and Tim for that matter. In my book Johnner's truck is the funnest to watch whip some butt. To see a six speed run the way it does is mind bending.

With all the going on, I might have to wander down there with some shovels for cleanup.

John, cool new title.

Hey buddy, good to hear from you!

Yeah, your right, the you know what is getting deep in this thread! But one thing about the DTR N.C./VA. Crew,........we can have fun and rib each other without it getting "personal" like it does on that "other" website! We have a great bunch of members here.

Hello
Just to bring this back to the top again.

I will be bringing the G N with me with a secret truck on it along with a BBQ grill. With that said if folks want to use it to grill some kinda dead animal they are welcome.
I was figuring on grilling up some Brats, Maybe if we ask real nice we can persuade the FIRE CHIEF come down off his mountain and give grilling lessons. How about it TOP?

This sounds like it will be a pretty good time.

Has anyone heard about any fast trucks from down Ga way or from out west coming to this event.
After racing at the race track tonight (13.60@99.33 in the 1/4) I might put my truck on the G N and haul it up north and race Leigh Ann's and if I break it put her truck on the trailer and drag it home or to TimVa's to have him do magic to it.

Take Care
See Ya
Chris

I heard that the secret truck isn't even street legal, and it's a light weight race only truck you have been hiding from us I'm thinking your going to put a hurting on some of those VA boy's with that light-weight truck at the track Sorry but the cats out of the bag

Tim, you better put a real big shot of NOS if you want to keep up with that new truck of Papa Smurf's I'll bet thats the lightest truck we've ever run!!!

WOW
Now that the cat is out of the bag, I best write Leigh Ann and let her know I bought a race truck for her. I have been practicing racing her truck so that I could race her new one up in Va and then send her pictures. I think she will be ok with it she told me before she was getting tired of getting beat by John_P, Johnner and Cris, I think we will have something that will hold it's own.
Cris
I would have liked it better if you would have left this be a surprise. Now I have a whole bunch of sweet talking to do. The only good part is she won't see the bill until she gets home in Dec.
I'm going to wait to update the sig.
Oh Well Stuff Happens.

It was just a something that I heard, but I guess it's true You have got us all beat now!

We build our trucks and you go out and buy one way faster then all of ours. Who would build a truck like that( all the time and money) and just sell it? You did good this time. Now we all have a lot of work to try to catch up with you now What color is it, 2 or 4wd, and is it a 12 or 24 valve?

ManI asked you not to say anything and listen to you. I am some what at you right now.
I am not even sure if this thing will even get out of it's own way without help.
Now I have to find somewhere to test this thing without people watching me.
All I am going to say is it only has 4 wide tires on it.
I was sitting here trying to figure out how to Tell Leigh Ann when I saw you posted again.
See Ya

I still haven't figured out how I am going to tell her. I just hope with her being over in Kuwait she can't get on a computer, I need some more time to figure out how to get out of this jam. I wanted it to be one of those things when she gets home she says who's truck is that kinda things.
Sometimes it's hard to understand things when you are 1/2 the world away. I've been there and done that worn out the three t shirts.

Dennis
I have the spell check thing working now. Thanks

Do me a favor and don't do me anymore favors.
