Hey Chris,
Thanks for the food, good as always. And your race truck is awesome. I was amazed when I saw what you brought on the trailer. I won't advertise your ET's so that your competition can't be scared away.

Chris

I had a great time, It was great seeing folks I haven't seen in a while.

Hey Chris,
Here's a few I took. I was speechless to say the least. We hope to see this truck up and running by the next event.

I had a great time! Not to mention I came home with $100 bucks extra in my pocket for taking Runner-up in the Street Truck class. I wasn't much competition for Cris (masonic-dodge) as he had no problem running me down (I had a good head start with my 15.80 to his 12.60 dial-in). Cris and Tim were really running some great times, not to mention a bunch of other folks. Too bad Tim beat himself when he ran a 12.24 on a 12.25 dial-in. It still got him 3rd place. Me,,,,, I just got lucky,,,,,, but I'll take that! I've got to come up with some way of getting that 2wd to hook up and then I can think about some more power. I did find out that I can get all the way into 3rd gear and still not be a foot past the christmas tree!

It was great seeing everyone again and I hope we can do this more often in the future.

Click on the thumbnail for a better view of the Smurf Race Truck. He was telling the truth when he said it did have a Ram body,,,,,,

I had a great time. I will plan on going next year. It was a good event and perfect weather. I believe everyone ran their best times and Mike D did not break. I think Mikes cure is just to have a trailer there. Chris S you guys are doing great powder coating work. Your twins are a thing of beauty. Chris D the Brats were great as usual. Looking forward to seeing you again Friday. Overall I am glad I went the quick times were just a bonus. Tim

Had a great time as always. Thanks to those kind souls who brought food. The brats were great Chris. Brett, Thanks to you too buddy...

I guess if Dennis won $100 than by process of elimination Cris S. won the top money. Congrates Cris. All those thousands of $$$ you spent on your truck are starting to pay returns!

My congratulations to Cris S. and Dennis on their wins at this event! Great job guys! Mike D. my congrats to you on the 13.1!

Sorry I couldn't make this one. I had a prior obligation and promise to a good friend. Tim,..............maybe at the next event I can give you a try in the quarter mile with my "new and improved" 1996 Dodge CTD 12 valve which Scheid Diesel just finished working on for me. I would say it runs pretty good but then again I might not have anything for you. We'll see........................

Anyway, congratulations to you guys!

Don't worry Tim,
We won't tell John about the other lower numbers you ran in test & tune on just #2 diesel. Honest John,,,,,,,,,, he never hooked the bottle up!

Dennis:

That's not what I heard from the guys that attended the event. They said 12.4 was the best E.T. on #2 and 12.2 was his best run on #2 + NOS. But I guess they could be wrong.

John, Dennis is just having fun with you. Them numbers you posted are accurate. I know how fast your 12v should now be, but when we race it will be for fun. I am now at the point that I hit the govn before the quarter mile is over so I need taller tires or more rpm before we race. I am already working on that. I heard of some of your practice times and am happy for you. You have waited a long time for your truck and I hope you enjoy it. Tim

Tim:

Thanks for the update.

Yeah, I figured Dennis was "jerking my chain" some! Why doesn't that surprise me?

It looks like your new truck is running real well Tim! Congratulations on the times. I feel your pain on "tires not being big enough" believe me! We all are going to have have M/T or Hoosier Race Slicks on our trucks! I KNOW the little 265's I have now will have to go!

Anyway,...........hope to see you guys at the next event.

Sorry I missed it, but I have my own reward--A truck with a good tranny. It's amazing how hard the tires spin when the power makes it to the rearend!! Darn Dodge T/C

I had a great time at the event, it was good seeing everyone again and being able to spend some time with my VA friends

I want to send out a BIG THANKS to Chris (PapaSmurf) for his cooking. Chris spent alot of time over that hot grill cooking for all of us and we were just racing our trucks having fun.

I think everyone needs to say THANKS to Chris for the time he spent cooking so we could all have fun.

THANKS again BUDDY, the food was GREAT and right on time. You made a good event into a great event. Good times, Good food, and best of all Good people. Thats what the NC + VA Chapters are all about.
