Re:DTR Chapter News

I copied your response about DTR's goal to provide info to all truck owners. The only two diesels are CTD's at my squadron. My dad has a 1997 powerstroke with 130,000 plus miles and lives out of a 40' fifthwheel that weighs in at 17,000 lbs. Retired 30 year marine that can't stay put. He just installed a pac-brake and a performance module. We haven't seen each other in 4 years or better but keep in contact weekly via telephone. I have him scared for the first time in his life to meet the CTD. He upgraded after I told him about my enhancements. LOL!

Any way we can get together and have fun can also be a family outing.
I hope you get to show Dad that snarling CTD soon! 8).....Lary

Re:DTR Chapter News

I'm on the far side of Surry County. There is the Surry House reataurant that would make a "decent" meeting place. I'm ready to meet and talk.
My only restriction is that I work at a nuke plant and when we shut down to refuel, all outside life basically comes to an end and the work weeks are 72 to 84 hours for about six weeks. That is usually in the spring like around March and in the fall around October.
I usually try to make it to about ten tractor pulls a season but could easily give that up to get this going. Too many people are cheating and it is all but a waste of time for me to take a stock antique tractor to an antique tractor pull any more.
Lets get together somewhere one Sat morning and at least get the faces with the names and go from there. Name the place and time. I have plenty of parking space right here at the shack if no where else. Dennis knows where I am and it ain't hard to find. I could come across the water also if need be. I'm ready to get this off the ground.

Re:DTR Chapter News

We need to agree to a date and time and place to meet and get started. Any ideas?

Re:DTR Chapter News

There are no set limitations as to which Chapter you wish to belong to. Some states may end up with several chapters other's none. Eventually as things get going strong the bigger chapters will begin to show some strength and we will possibly end up with some regional chapters. Right now it is as open as we can make it.
I myself may join a VA chapter for now until somebody open's one closer to me. feel free to go where you want as things open up you can always shift to another place.

The Idaho Chapter has but 2.5 members (I've not heard back from the 3rd potential member, so I'm giving him a .5...?), but - good ideas, the Emergency Contact / Assistance plan, and I'm ALL FOR the Trucks For Tots - how about something for the Troops? We can do something like that without stepping on anybody's Political Toes (they can vote their political conscience by participating, or not participating)...may be a Big Idea, but - I personally think it's the right thing to do.

Thoughts?

we sure could've used people's help in the central valley when we were torrented with 2.5" of rain. people were crashing everywhere, houses were flooding.

as for the troops thing, the deployed guys never get sick of getting packages from home.
