Okay news and BAD news?
Finally got to take the truck out today.
With the changes to the turbo and inj. pump she hit 17# boost and 1100* climbing an on ramp towing 16K# of trailer and cars. 5# boost and 700* at 65mph on the flat.
Now, the BAD news. She shifts into third very fast. So, we tried manual shifting. Took off in 1st no prob. Shifted into second and it wasn't there. Revs went up and it felt like it was in neutral. The tranny doesn't slip. It just doesn't seem to have second gear. The tranny is supposed to have a VB in it. Is a band not adjusted or do I finally have justification to drop the $$ on an ATS 47RH and triple lock?
I'd rather spend the $$ on the other project in the shop and do the tranny later but I don't want to get stranded with a load either.

Before you run off to get a new transmission, check the TV cable adjustment. I don't know whether that is your problem, but a small adjustment can do weird things.
george

It sticks to the rear(Full throttle position). I am looking for a return spring to put on it. I figured all it would do is boost the line presures.
