Bobby Downes (dperf) is definitely "in the mix" for this as earlier today he laid down 777 H.P./1299 Torque at "Waynes Dyno" in Jacksonville, N.C. on Waynes "Dynojet 248C."

Wow, that is awesome. Was that today John or this week? #2 only? Great #'s!

Matt:

That was this morning at "Waynes Dyno!" I also ran my new 06' and went 460 H.P./845 Torque! Matt, that was with ONLY the AFE Cold Air Intake and my TST PM 3 CR! I could only get the TST up to level 4/4 as anything above that I was in the RED on EGTS and BOOST!!

I have a Schwitzer 62/12 I am getting ready to put on though so that should help. Your right, the CR Trucks are pretty amazing!

Hey, how is your truck coming along up @ Tims Matt???

Very solid #'s indeed on the 06 John. Congrats! That 62-12 should thrust you over the 500 hp mark with ease......makes me scratch my head now. I guess I'll drive the ole' 01 for a couple more years anyway and decide if I want to source an 06 or 07 (5.9) on the used market. Of course, it's not like I can use any more hp than I currently have except on the dragstrip. It would be nice for the quiet smooth ride of the 3rd gens though.

I talked to Tim yesterday. He has Don's valve springs ordered and a .30 over marine gasket ordered. The head should have the machine/mill work done this week - head decked, o-rings cut, valve job, port and polish and Don's springs. I believe he'll crack mine off late this coming week or Saturday to check my block and do the swap if all looks good. Then he'll keep it a few more days to do a few torques and go through a few heat cycles.

I'm already working on a squeeze kit as I'm sure I'm pretty close to the limit of the ole' VP44. Cris, I may need some help on that pre-intercooler pipe if you have any time?

Man, I hate I can't make this 14th weekend but I should mention the prior weekend is a "Pinks ALL OUT" episode being filmed at The Rock (no loss of pink slip - $10,000 prize). It'd be great to be there for that and see a few smokey diesels roll down the track then too. I can probably actually make that weekend too. Should I start a new thread about that weekend?

Man, I hate to miss this weekend. I want to see some of these 3rd gens that should really lay down some nice #'s in the 1/4 mile. Of course I haven't witnessed your 12 valve on the drag strip either John......

Matt:

Thanks for the report on your truck. Sounds like everything is going well.

Matt, I would post a new thread on that "Pinks" Event you mentioned to us.
And I wanted to tell you to forget about the turkey hunting and COME WITH US to the Rock!! You are also going to miss the possible "rematch race" between myself and Charles (mmmmtorque) with his newly modified Dodge Viper SRT-10 Ram Pickup. It ought to be fun!

So what you gonna race him with? You get that 62-12 on there and you might give him a good run with the CR!

New "Pinks" thread started for those that may be interested.

John, trust me, it is killing me to miss this 14th weekend. I wish I could be 2 places at the same time.......

We (wife, son, me) would like to go as well but have a soccer game at 11am Saturday morning. The drive is 2hrs from Apex so we could be there around 3pm. When are the events scheduled?

I hope to join the fun for DHRA, if I make it past the "Pinks" qualifying in one piece. Add me to the list, please. I guess if I break, I could still be legit since Sandi drives a "Hemi", right? (Mopar Madness).

Thanks,
Brian
