Just checked their website, and there is a test and tune this weekend on the 12th. I am off the 26th weekend as well........... I have a big date night planned with my wife. Got a hotel room booked @ the Northern Grand. Just an overnighter in FSJ watching the UFC and getting wrecked! Kids are @ grandparents. I live about 30 km's just outside of FSJ in the Baldonnel area. (Close to the track) So a little race action @ the track sounds like it is in order!

Hey Tate, we were out of town ourselves until today. I've got a great tranny shop if you want to get a rebuild done on yours. They have done alot of work for me with no problems including this tranny and rear end i have in my truck now.

I'd definitely take the LC's, but I should probably wait till summer rolls around. I've spent an *** load of cash in 2 days. It's like I went through withdrawls. When is the twins going on? Want a hand putting them on? I need projects through out this week. Free labour for anyone in the Calgary area. BTW, any gauges yet?

Chris, let me know about that shop. I'd like to try it myself, but it may come down to how much time I can afford. Its seriously starting to suck driving in the city with it.

For you 12v guys, is it normal for some pitting on the top of the plungers? We took the DV's out of Dave's pump tonight (had a hunch maybe a plunger was sticking), and it looks like some pitting on the plungers. Can't feel it with my fingernail, but you can see it. Dave has the pictures on his camera, should be up tomorrow. Didn't see any scratches in the bores of the barrels. Got it back together, and it ran about the same, so atleast I didn't wreck it at all. The pump I have, I don't remember any pitting on the plunger top, but I've only had the DV holder off the #1 barrell, didn't pull all 6 like Dave's.

Hey Demon, how do you like the TST? What kind of injectors are you going to run? Lots of guys are unsure on the TST and say to go for the Edge stuff, the TST is a way more agressive box. If you ever want to try the TST Comp, let me know. I would like to try the regular TST. Just have to swap box's and go!!!

Oh I don't have it installed yet, I just got it yesterday. I've got jammer 5s on bodies they're at GCL fuel systems getting tested and cleaned. "should" be ready tommorrow. Heres my plan. twins and ARP headstuds first (& guages) run for a period of time to get a grip on what the engine is doing. retorque studs etc etc. next days off install injectors. then run for a period of time etc. following days off install Tst and let her RIP.

All that said. I've been talking with Holmen about injectors, so there may be a changeup there too......

question though. how are you guys tapping your wires? this is a used kit, so theres no scotchlocks in it. should I use scotches or is there something better. and whos sells them in Calgary?

The Stealth Cover from BD Diesel or TST is the cat's meow. It comes with the special bit to remove the old VP 44 cover and install the Stealth Cover. After you install the cover, you screw the piercing bolt down until it pierces the wire under the cover and install your box tap wire on the piercing bolt. No cutting the already short, hard to get to VP44 wire. Worth every penny!!!

Demon, I just got Lenny at DDP to put together a fresh set of BIG sticks. He told me that they will make about 40-60rwhp more than my macher's. I have five sets of sticks to choose from BD110, BD130, BD155, mach 6ers and these DDP sticks. You putting in head studs? Lenny has a good deal on studs. They are torqued to 170ft*lbs unlike my wimpy 120's. You o-ring your head? I have a spare cummin head. In a few days I should have a new turbo here from PDR. I got they to put together a HX-35, thats has some work done to the wastegate. I should take a look at your truck so I can spot some weak points. I double clamp my intercooler hoses and put on PDR clamp kit. I'm interested to see how your truck works. What kind of intercooler you have? I think that older ones have plastic tanks.
