Alberta Dyno and GTG
I'm planning (at this point) on the 62/13 stainless unit. Probably get the compressor housing polished too. I've great things about the SPS and silver turbos, but the HTT's are cheaper by a good margin, and this stainless is supposed to be the cats ***. Time will tell.
I know how to put in a clutch though, I can help you with that. Gonna go for that triple disc monster?

Nah, the Con FE will hold 500 hp+ and 1100lbs+. Good enough for me. By the time the clutch is on it's way out, it will be time for a CR. Tate, just let me know when you want to order the HTT turbo. Maybe ordering 2 will help out some on costs. Do you think I should go with the 62/13 or the 64/13. All the guys here recommend the 62/13. All the HTT folks and vendors say 64/13. Choices, choices...
LMAO....I take it, youve never been to Youngstown...be advied there really isnt even anywhere to shop in Youngstown. Youd be better off to stay in Drumheller (same distance)...
Anyway, the offer still stands.....let me know - Im sure I could work the same price as in Youngstown. BTW, Youngstown is quite a bit further from the plant than Hanna (probably double the milage).

Gonna buy Kevin's 03?
According to PDW, difference between the 62 and 64 is 25 hp. My truck doesn't spend much of its time at WOT, so the quicker the turbo comes in, the better. If/when I outgrow it, I'll deal with that when it happens. An upgrade from HTT is around $300 to the next larger compressor, if I remember right. Or the next great thing might be out then. Or grab a big primary, and twin it. I think a 62 would be the way to go.

Tate, Alberta Bomb day! I'm in like Flynt.........
my injectors hit the shipping trail today......and my ATS manifold should be ready tommorrow
Just need an air cleaner with a 5" neck and a 5-4 adapter for the exhaust

Nope,, not for sale,, lol. Now I am going to get serious with it. 11's here we come! The 2 main reasons for the duramax was 0% interest, and the ride. I looked at the new 6.7 and I dont think I could live with the quality of the seats, they are junk. Rest of the truck is top notch though

The FE is a good clutch if you don't need to do hard 3rd gear starts or are drag racing. I like it so far, a little jerky with the trailer on, but it lets you know you hooked up..
Turbos are plentiful, from what I can read, the 64 is more for higher RPM crowds. If you are going to crest 3500 all the time in full RPM bursts, the 64 would more be the ticket. However I have heard of surge issues with the HTT 64 turbos due to the big compressor flow vs the exhaust housing match. So lower RPM, low load cruising gets a little noisy. But for me the 62 seems to be the best bang for the buck. The S300 I have seems to be a nice compromise for flow and spool.
My truck couldn't even come close to finish a dyno run and I was EGT'd out. I want to put on a turbo that will cure that. I thought a 62/13 would get too hot as I have too much fuel and not enough air??? HTT said the 64/13 spools very quick due to the SS housing. A hard call to make as I would like to do this step once if possible.
I don't think spooling will be a concern for you at all.. The 24Vs can spool anything fast enough with injectors especially. If you are adding more fuel in the future, then the 64 would be a good bet I would think. You can get the HTT with larger exhaust housings too. If you get a 62/14 vs the 62/12, you gain a little more room on the exhaust side. More exhaust flow, lower EGT typically even with a 62mm comp wheel. A 62 is good for the 425-450 mark, how much are you wanting to get to?
Mach 4's, well that would be some good fuel for sure.. I think you should be in the 64 range for sure, forget the 62.. I will do some more reading on a turbo sizing guide I got from NWBombers and see what looks good. You might even be up to a sledpuller 66 with that kind of fuel...Hmm..

I always managed to get the "good" jobs....
