Question What Modification would you never do again?

I have been seeing a lot of suggestions for the best Mod's to a stock truck. I'm new to the Diesel world and admit I know nothing, zero, Squat about my new to me 94 Dually. But thanks to a lot of searching here the terms and Modifications are actually starting to make since to me.
While I am actually starting to sort out priorities to what I eventually want to accomplish with the truck, and hind sight being 20/20...
I'm wondering what modification you have done that has disappointed you and you wish you hadn't of? Or the Modification that ended up making very little if any difference and left you feeling flat about your effort? Why?

Thanks for the heads up in advance...

Any pre-oiled aftermarket cold air intake filter system. One drive down a dusty road, you have one plugged up air filter.

There are lots of easy power available in your 94 truck and they run hard once set-up correctly. A 160HP injection pump work good with the right mods.

X2 on the oiled air filter. I had a K&N drop in that would coat the turbo with dirt and an oily film. Straight out of the box and after cleaning...

S&B cold air intake, once I got it and went to install it I realized it was a 250 dollar factory box with a clear lid and none of the pipes lined up,I lit into the company and they took it back and paid shipping...

another vote for the oiled/cold-air intake. a simple BHAF replacement filter on the stock tube would have been fine. however, my aFe cold air box has provided me with a very convenient place to mount accessory relays!

Never put on tires with a sidewall taller than 70. I now understand why so many people complained about steering wander on these trucks. After the factory tires I went with 305/70/16 Pro Comps and loved them. When they were done I tried some 295/75/16 Nittos. The truck immediately started wandering all over the place. Once they wore in a bit it got better, but I will be going back to nothing taller than a 70 series after this. The 75 series sidewall is just too flexible on a truck this heavy at freeway speeds.

This is relative to the overall tire size since the 70,75 value is just a percentage of the section width. As you move to narrower tires, you can have a larger value since it will equate to the same sidewall height.

in addition to this - if Dane's 295/75/16 was the same as my tires i had in that size they were D rated . . . and they were Toyo Open COuntry A/T's - which tend to follow smaller ruts in the road to begin with. I never had any outstanding issues with those tires.

I now run Nitto Terra Grappler 287/75/17's E rated tires and they are awesome, with same tread pattern as the Toyo OC, no issues with the taller sidewall, but they are E rated.
