Throwing out an offer of help to you guys.

I am sure I will be meeting you guys at TS. I met T.J. and Leonard Last year there.

if any of you guys need a ride back to hotels (I am staying at the Ramada and they are all in a group there.) I am not drinking and will give you a ride or drive your truck back there for you guys.

Well, I hate to do this guys, but fundage is running low and I just can't justify spending the money to go to TS. I don't really want to do it, but I have to back out....
Maybe things will be better next year.......

Who's missing if anyone?

What ever time you guys leave the Cave doesn't matter to me. It looks like there may be a truck stop or something like that at the next exit down (Route 11?) from the 81/66 interchange. What time do you want to meet there? From that point it looks like maybe 10 hrs or so to Beech Bend.

 

well john if you didn't play on your four wheeler so much you would be going to TS with us.

 

That and I need to get the Toyota running to OHV in 5 weeks......

 

I'm not riding in the camper down am I.

 

I think Cindy said she will probably ride in the camper for a good part of it, she has college assignments to do while we travel so she'll need the laptop and dinette table. But I'm sure we'll be rotating people from the truck to the camper at fuel stops and what not.

BTW, we are bringing Lilly with us.

 

I agree with Todd, at exit 298 there looks to be a truck stop, see picture below.


What time are we leaving the Cave? 10PM? The meeting place is 2 hours from the cave, so that puts us meeting up at midnight. Does this sound good to everyone? We need to make a decision about the leaving time soon, I vote 10 PM or 11 PM that way we are basically driving with next to no traffic and we can make some great time.

I don't see any point in waiting until 11pm. Once we all get off work, get our stuff together we'll be ready for a road trip. I say 10pm works fine. Either way we aren't in a hurry (safety/fuel) and we have plenty of time. 10pm sounds good to me (that gives me until the meet up point to relax so after the switch I can start sawing logs!!).

 

Ok so now that John is not coming I have a room that I can share. Anybody want in? Please let me know soon ....if there are no takers then I will upgrade to a larger single bed.

 

If I were you I would change now if it is possible, I think that everyone else is going to stay in the camper.
