AC in the truck. The Liquid line needs replaced. That's where the orifice is. You cannot just replace the orifice on these trucks.
My high side pressure shot up over 500psi when Glenn and I added freon. I got lucky and didn't explode the compressor.

Sorry, didn't know AC lines were a "wear" item. Just trying to help, I guess I'll sell them instead.

Howdy!!

Dog days of the summer heat are upon us.

Hope all is going well for everyone, if not, I hope it gets better.

Did anyone else feel the wrath of mother nature on 4 Jun 2010?

We sure got slapped a little....

No major damage and it's all cleaned up now. Have to throw it on the splitter and stack it. I hate loosing good trees, but it opened up for better parking set up.

"Good philosophy! See good in bad. I like."

Peace!

RockAuto's price isn't bad. That is where I got mine from when I recently did mine.

BigSingle: yea the liquid line has a filter type thing it so it should be replaced with new if issues.

I really appreciate the offer. But you have to be extremely careful about contamination in the AC lines. So one laying around in the garage might be contaminated and might possibly ruin my compressor. I probably got crap in it from when i did my Evap.
Keith i checked Rock and ended up ordering it from Autozone. They were about $10 cheaper shipped.

Maybe if you post up about how you are really strapped for cash and absolutely need to fix your truck ASAP someone will be nice enough to give you the parts you need and tell ya "When you get things back under control financially, just give me what you think is fair" and then never talk to them again and then repeatedly post how you are buying things for your vehicles, and taking weekend trips.

I guess the old saying goes if you give someone $300 worth of stuff and never hear from them again, you prolly should have thought twice before being nice. Shame on me.

Thanks for the help yesterday Travis. Guy was a real pain and I just needed something to shut him up. Always thankful that you all answer the phone and emails...
