Anyone not busy on labor day that had a little time to help me with rewiring my trailer connection? I have not towed in couple of months and was getting ready for a couple weeks from now and I have no power at all. Brake controller has power but nothing at the plug, no lights nothing... I am free that Saturday morning also

Check your grounds. They are usually the culprit.

Or you did something like I did....pulled the wire loose from the back of the controller but before I checked that easy stuff I had the trailer on jack stands and tracing wires for days.

I just cant decide what to do.....I need a convertor for the tranny, but have a limited budget....Goerends are nice, got to ride in one this weekend. not a bad price, but at the top end of what I want to spend. TCI like the one Scott has has many mixxed reveiws, but has a really nice price tag.

Suncoast is right in line with goerend. There's so many companies out there, some you here good and bad, some you here nothing about. I think I should stay with a nice single convertor since I'm not running billet shafts but I also don't want to be disappointed.

I've got my TC decisions down to three companies...
RevMax
Spec Rite
Goerends.

But I need to decide, SINGLE or Three Disk....

Not making huge power, Tow a max of 18k(gcwr) a few times a year and mainly my spare truck. No billet shafts. BD valve body with 25k on a rebuilt tranny.

Help, whatca think? Single or 3 Disk?

Get a good single and a trans controller. I can't live without mine. Look at the ATS Co Pilot or something similar.

With a good converter a controller isn't necessary because the fluid coupling is very efficient and it locks when its supposed to and doesn't need an outside signal to tell it to lock.

How does the TC lock itself?
The TC is locked by the PCM when it tells it to lock. With my controller i can be in lock @ 25mph. Therefore not building heat in fluid coupling.
Without the controller it doesn't lock until in OD @ about 45-50mph. Also without the controller when you lift off the throttle the TC unlocks and you coast until throttle is reapplied.
