Tranny is out, Torque Convertor on the ground, transfer case resealed and starter contacts replaced! Just waiting on the convertor to get here.

While its out, what else should I look into doing?

Is this the right pump for my 2000 Auto.....???
Need to get this thing running and back on the road....I am losing opportunities to do some side work because I cannot tow right now....

Is it easier to get the vacuum pump out while the VP is out??? Should I do this while I am in there?????

Hey Stranger! What's up Mark?
I was thinking the same thing. I'll check with the boss and see if we can warm things up a little.

John you need a SO pump, not a HO pump.

Rick did you get the TC back in yet?

Scott, I know I need an S.O. pump... but all the descriptions are the same on that site...
I am going to call them and verify the right pump and order it with the Airdog 150 also....
I want to make sure I order the right pump so the truck is not sitting around pumpless.....

Intake off, Apps out, Injector lines removed...

Is there any easy way to get this to TDC ??

I tried the alternator trick and it just slips on the belt....

Do I have to turn it over by the flexplate???? That is going to be hard by myself....My arms aren't quite long enough to turn the flexplate and see the timing mark at the same time..

Anyone have a VP44 gear puller and barring tool I can borrow for a short time????

turn the alt the other way....thats how I've done mine quite a few times. plus a small mirror helps seeing the TDC mark. For the life of me I cant remember how I pulled off the gear, but I didnt use a tool.
