the verdict is its still leaking, i went to the car wash and sprayed the entire underside of the truck with degreaser, had the undercarriage washed and oil is still coming down. Its not as bad as it was before but its still leaking

You replaced the rear main seal correct? Did you use the special plastic ring to install it?

it wasn't the rear main it was the cam seal on the back, the rear main looked fine. I don't know if spraying any carb cleaner on the rear main might of hurt it or if we messed up the cam seal again when installing the rear plate. Won't really know until we pull that cover again what is really leaking. I have 2 rear main seals, the cummins one and the felpro one. Just need to order another 50 cent oring for the cam

a friend has a 06 2500 and wants bigger tires, I think I read that he can fit 315/70/17 with out a lift but I am not 100% sure and don't want to steer him in the wrong direction

Chris 33/12.5/17 fit on mine without any clearance problems. I think that the 315/70/17 is the same, I would have to look it up.
