Never ending Thread XI
John have you posted this any where else? You should.
Is the IP electric connection properly connected? Check all your fuses under the hood and inside.
How many injector lines did you leave loose? How long did you crank the truck to try to get to fire?

Yes, the IP is connected. I even removed the Van Aaken box to eliminate that from the equation.
I have not checked any fuses.. I would not even know where to start....Cant imagine that would be an issue, but I will check them all.
I cracked injectors 1 and 3. That has always worked for me in the past....
I cranked until the battery was dead and I don't have a charger large enough to recharge the batteries...
(Scott, O.K. it is in the 2nd Gen forum and in the same forum on CompD)

Any one remember my old truck

Seems it was rolled with only 5k miles more than I sold it with.

It just can to me that the injector lines and pump were dry, so it is going to take some cranking to get it primed again.
I have all of them open except #6.
I need to get the batteries recharged before I can crank it anymore....
a little bit of ether spray helps as well to get it to fire up. had to do that on my buddies truck when we swapped the vp44. just make sure you disconnect the grid heater. don't need the plenum blown apart.
Got it!!!!! Yeah..
It was extremely air locked.
I got the batteries charged for about three hours and I was able to crank it over real fast.
Apparently once the injectors leak a little, you need to tighten them up.
I had not tightened the injectors and once I did, she stumbled a bit and fired right up.
Sounds great and purrs like a kitten.
Thanks all for your help and suggestions.
Still need to refill the coolant and p/s fluid, and reconnect the Quad box then she should be on the road again. Also, the leak was the injectors leaking down the top of the intake.

I have just spent so many days, hanging over the engine, bruising the crap out of my legs on the bumper, that I really don't want to lay on my back with diesel dripping in my face.
Standing under the truck on a lift would be real easy and much faster. I know that all I really have to do is disconnect the two fuel lines, mount the AD, and reconnect the lines and the new harness. But I am just at the end for this project...
