I'm lowering the Jeep. Taking off the Crown springs and putting back on stock wrangler springs. About 2" diff in lift, but it was too tall anyway. I gotta get some bushings today from Perry hall power on the way home.

No the tires won't rub, with the SPOA and 1" shackles i still have about 6.5" of lift, with the Crown springs it's about 8.5".
Anyone have a M12X1.75 bottom tap Travis could borrow this weekend? He needs it for his block.

Hey Bobby i talked to Ernie yesterday, i asked him about the DOT stuff and he said nothing new has been added this year. So joe blow shouldn't worry. But for commercial haulers the rules apply.

Not a bottom tap (assuming you mean not tapered at the beginning) but I do have a M12x1.75 if that helps at all.

Well I have good news and bad news. I got the head cleaned, block cleaned, bolt holes tapped (used my m12x1.75 #1 tap). Went to change the valve springs with the valve spring compressor I bought at sears, no luck. It can not get the whole spring to compress so I can not get the retainers off to swap the springs. I have the proper tool on the way but it won't be here for a few days, hopefully I have her back together and broke in by the buck.

Wow!! Busy busy busy peoples.

That sux Travis. I hate it when your so close and some minor glitch brings it all to a screeching halt. Good luck on the completion I have no doubt you'll get her done.

Here's what we did today...

Packed it down and hauled it home.

Peace
